Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

Look at the recent photos of the Lechmere station site- the station is so low to the ground that a certain Celtics player will need to duck to avoid the platform. Vertical circulation will be a much smaller problem than I had believed, so elevators for accessibility + stairs for low operating...

From @Equilibria's third doc: "We have submitted for a building permit for Parcel I" Says they expect to begin construction Q32019

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

There's no real technical problem, but the surface parking lot directly adjacent to the tracks is 10x more desirable to redevelop, and land values haven't risen enough near NS to justify air rights. But that parking lot is a huge missed opportunity to create a new mini-neighborhood

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

I'm more interested in how active it is one year from now- it looks "full" because the buildings are in interior fit out, but they aren't generating activity yet. Next fall will look similar from the outside (not that there won't be more projects) but with big changes in the pedestrian density...

The Quinn (née The Berkeley) | 370-380 Harrison Ave | South End

If only the parking lot in the foreground had a proposal

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Nothing planned in public, but it's indicated as a residential block in the latest NPC, and WS has said they'll move on the next res building next year

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I asked about this, and they said there would be an entrance

MIT New 450-bed Residence Hall | 121 Vassar St. | Cambridge

More MIT dorm capacity is the canonical example of "building's benefit to region >> building's architectural merits"

The new supermarket is hard to photograph, so these don't give a sense of the scale involved. Main entrance: IMG_3093 1st floor convenience store (photo quality is bad, whoops) IMG_3084 Staircase down IMG_3085 Shot facing left from staircase. By my estimate, you can see roughly 1/4 of the...

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

Interesting that :14 in the video shows the parcel behind JK, which started before G/H, hasn't progressed beyond pile driving. I wonder if they'll rotate crews once this goes vertical

Omni Hotel @ BCEC | Summer St | Seaport

It's really hard to understate how big this will be, both from the viaduct and Summer St IMG_3066 IMG_3060 IMG_3062 IMG_3061

IT'S HAPPENING! (Also, what location did you use for those great viaduct shots? Asking for a friend...)

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

Tim Logan's story says Foundation has a lease option at N, in addition to at L5 if Amazon doesn't pick up theirs (which expires next year). Also says they want to start on L3 or G by the end of next year...

Seaport Sq. Block N | 350 Summer Street | Seaport

Parsing the NPC, it mentions res on L3/G and still has an office component, so that will probably go L6. That leaves L5+D for office and the dev is done

Seaport Sq. Block N | 350 Summer Street | Seaport

It's quite weird that L4, P and N have all moved forward where the one that got to BCDC approval (D) hasn't been touched. This seems like a huge benefit to the streetscape though, so I'm not ccomplaining
