    Dorchester Infill and Small Developments

Re: 93 South Dorchester I drive by this building every day and cannot believe how much of a turn for the worst it took when they started with this patchwork siding. I think it looks terrible and looks very cheap up close. The frame of the building gave me hope that this would look great when...

Avalon North Station | Nashua Street Residences | West End

Re: Nashua Street Residences (North Station) Unless rents continually rise, construction costs stay flat, and borrowing gets easier I doubt you'll see Nashua St. apartments get started anytime soon.

Avalon North Station | Nashua Street Residences | West End

Re: Nashua Street Residences (North Station) No harm in getting the approval process out of the way, right? Bigger issues when you put the shovel in the dirt and wind up like Filene's.

Avalon North Station | Nashua Street Residences | West End

Re: Nashua Street Residences (North Station) Nashua St. will have a hard time going vertical since there are millions of added costs to build a transfer level above the North Station garage. As for the parking lot in front of the TD Garden, Delaware North owns it and wants to develop it...

    Fan Pier Developments | Seaport

I do not like the look of that building, except for the glass portions. And I think it'll look even worse once Russia Wharf (or is it Atlantic Wharf?) is finished.

Battery Wharf | North End | Waterfront

Re: Battery Wharf There is a nice museum that recently opened up at Battery Wharf, worthwhile to check out if you're in the area. I walked by last night and noticed that Sensing was doing some decent business, only based on the number of people I saw eating al fresco on their outdoor patio...

Movie Studios: Boston is the new Hollywood.

The tax incentives for the film and television industry is basically a marketing expense for the state. The more exposure MA and Boston get in via the movies, the more people will want to come here and spend their money here. You're not going to get that same exposure via the insurance...

Movie Studios: Boston is the new Hollywood.

I think the goal of developing these movie studios is to turn Boston into the next Vancouver or Toronto, NOT the next Hollywood. I also believe that Boston could easily become a more desired shooting location with the addition of several sound stages and support space, and ultimately surpass...

45 Province St | Downtown Crossing

Re: 45 Province St Article in B&T mentioned that only 20% of the units (28 out of 138) have been sold so far. Although it did say that two just went under agreement last week, so things will probably pick up now that it is open.

45 Province St | Downtown Crossing

Re: 45 Province St There must be a reason for the blank wall, right? Obviously the developer would have been able to drive much higher values if that side of the building had windows. Otherwise, this is a huge mistake. And even if a building is eventually going to block that view, it would...
