The Sudbury (Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower) | 50 Sudbury St | GCG Phase I | Gov't Center

What? If you're talking about Chinese steel we didn't import much from them in the first place. Anyways, I'm sure if anything it's the labor shortages weighing on any projects in the region.

    Goddard House | 201 S. Huntington | Jamacia Plain

Jesus, it's even orange before cladding it. Who is the weirdo with an obsession with the color Orange on this project???

New Red and Orange Line Cars

They can use the cars taken out of service as parts donors to the ones still in service.

Constellation Center | 43 Thorndike St | East Cambridge

And by the name of the new owner, I think it's safe to assume they intend to build more lab space in this location.

    Longfellow Bridge update

Oh wow, somehow I didn't realize there was a mini drawbridge there!

    Longfellow Bridge update

Ok, what exactly is that ugly thing that appears to have ladder access to the top?

    Worcester Infill and Developments

RI has actually been been stealing some business from MA lately, per massecon. I like seeing all of New England doing well, no reason for any hate here.

Alexandra Hotel Renovation | 1769 Washington St | Roxbury

Re: Alexandra Hotel Renovation | 1769 Washington St | South End Yeah, I was thinking it looks an awful lot like 10 farnsworth.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District Tariffs do not appear to be a partisan issue anyways. It's more like people who see the negative impact (us) vs people who don't know and don't care. But yeah, terrible time to be driving up construction material prices. At least concrete isn't...

MXD II (Google Kendall) | 325 Main St. | Kendall Square | Cambridge

I didn't realize "proto" was a part of this same project.

Probably to leave the option open to redevelop the parking lot.

    SUPERCEDED MXD | Kendall Square

Snoozefest is better than our usual response at this stage. What I want to know is when the residential portion starts.

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I explained exactly why I think those choices are made. I asked why can't the cheap materials be used differently- the pseudo brick thing just cheapens the looks further (in the non-monetary sense). I mean, they could just choose black instead for a color and it would look better. If they...

Mission Hill Infill and Small Developments

Absolutely not the same building, but I really can't be outraged without knowing what kind of condition it was in before. At least there's still going to be an actual stone facade- something way too expensive to see in all-new construction these days.

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I'm with you on this one. It strikes me as a lazy attempt to make new buildings fit in with all the surrounding brick buildings. The value of those older buildings are the materials theirselves, not the color of them. If you're going to use a cheaper, more modern material then just try to use it...

The Alcott (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

Re: Longfellow Place (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End It sounds like he's just fantasizing to us while touching himself. Like sexting, only on a message board while talking about tall buildings.

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Re: Whiskey Priest/Atlantic Beer Garden Redevelopment | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport I suppose, but let's say I come from local old money, and wanted to be in the city, I'd opt for a beautifully restored place in the back bay, and hiring service really isn't too difficult.

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Re: Whiskey Priest/Atlantic Beer Garden Redevelopment | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport I'm guessing it's to appeal to "new money". Old money wears their designer labels as a discreet tag on the inside. Conspicuous consumption isn't that classy.
