Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

I'd note that those are the "most energy-intensive service patterns", so who knows what actual service would look like... Hourly service off-peak to Stoughton as the "most energy-intensive" pattern seems off... Also, I'm not very impressed with the decreases in travel times. I know the...

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

Best data I've seen: https://www.pantographapp.com/newengland/missed Obviously take with a grain of salt... The MBTA's performance API is not particularly helpful in this case.

That'd be the everyone's favorite peak-direction-only 72 trips that return as reverse peak 71s. Combined with the notice below that (actually labelled for the 75, because the 72 "doesn't exist anymore"), it sounds like these trips will loop around the block at Bennett, probably allowing for a...

On the other hand, the interactive map shows the 94 skipping Harvard and going down High to Boston, so who knows what the actual route is.

    MBTA Construction Projects

The harbor tunnel Blue Line shutdown has been extended another week. On May 12th and 13th, Blue Line riders north of Orient Heights will enjoy the experience of a shuttle to there, a train to Airport, and another shuttle downtown. On a side note, do we really need to shut down a line for 2...

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

All other Harvard Busway routes (the 74/75/77/78/96) discharge passengers in the lower busway using their right-hand doors. Although there's a curb cut there, it's probably not great, with buses forced to stop at a certain point on the curb and let passengers off into the wall.

Also, any ideas where this "Type 10 dedicated high-speed test track" would be?

Any ideas what this means? They say replacement, not removal.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

These are island platforms, so they can't do front-door-boarding like on the rest of the green line.

They also say this is the only option for magstripe CharlieTickets... How on earth are they going to validate those fares? The on-board fareboxes printing out validation receipts? Asking the driver if they saw you pay?

Actually, I don't remember if on Sundays they drop off/pick up at the same time or separately.

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

Does this seriously mean that off-peak, buses will loop through Harvard Square twice? Something I haven't heard suggested a lot is boarding in upper busway, doing the standard common loop, and then expressing through the lower busway, which, y'know, avoids all that traffic in the square that's...

Planning ahead? We don't do that here. Remember, the 73's wires on Belmont Street are from what, 2019?

New Red and Orange Line Cars

Only even number cars have cabs, so they'll never perfectly be in order.
