Exactly what I said, CSX would have to give up the customer to PanAm if they so chose. Multiple times per day? It is used by CSX, MBTA, and Amtrak. No. Flat out no. Completely illegal.

That would require at a minimum: 1) North-South Rail Link complete and 2) CSX to abandon freight rights after either losing the Everett customers or getting them to switch to PanAm.

If the route out of the city were good for double stacks it would maybe happen. It would be incredibly efficient to load up a double stack train lickity-split and ship it off, and that would entice ships to call on Boston with quick unloading and shipping times. It isn't worth it at this time.

Let a branch off the D Line handle most of the Needham Line service, not Orange Line. But preserve the CR to Needham Jct and continue out to Millis, Medfield,or wherever.
