Re: 47 LaGrange Street | Former BYMCU Parking Lot | Theater District I just looked up this proposed spot and it looks like the only thing that is being taken away is a surface lot. There is nothing of substance that will be lost as a result of the construction of this building. I say bring it on.

I have to agree with the street level interaction. It is pretty spot on. I am just worried that there will be something that will have to be VE'd. I am not looking forward to that day.

+1 on that Suffolk. I remember the meetings, what a circus.

@stick, I know I am going to be crucified upside down for saying this, but as the project stands, I'm not a fan at all. It looks very sophomoric and lacks the signature stays that it needs for such a prime location. Very disappointed.

@jouhou, I have seen many projects that have gone forward in the past ten years (cough cough Filene's) that have completely disregarded the beautiful facades of the buildings that development was slated to be on. We have lost so much of our great old city. Not to mention to natural disasters...

I really would've rathered this, but without the stupid lattice at the top.

Now that I look at this render a bit closer, it looks like a really bad Sketchup model of what they would like this site to look like.

Thank you tysmith95 for creating a new thread for this, I searched and couldn't find one. I agree with the aforementioned comments about the street level being saved, but if they (Matteson) swap the street level in favor of retaining the facades, this will be an absolute knockout especially...
