Jamaica Plain Infill and Small Developments

FK4 I also love the ones on Chestnut. Every time I pass I comment on how beautiful they are. I am only going to be here for a week but felt the same way about a JP thread so I decided to make one. will try to get more pics but hope some others do the same. I also get a kind of old timey on the...

The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

Re: 110 Broad St. (The Times/Littlest Bar) I would appreciate if the walls were painted at least. I really like what philly does with murals on these type of walls. We need more of that.

The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

Re: 110 Broad St. (The Times/Littlest Bar) I would if I weren't away at school. This is the type of development I hate: too small, bad materials, and destroying something of value. The littlest bar looks especially historic. I wish a development would just build on the triangular parcels next...

The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

Re: 110 Broad St. (The Times/Littlest Bar) I don't think the building currently is fantastic but it has Boston charm and I think it would be a shame and a downgrade if this is rebuilt.

The Eddy | 6 New Street | East Boston

Re: New Street, East Boston multi-use project Have you ever heard of housing first? Homeless people need help they do not need to be ostracized as deserving of their fate. Society has let them down. They are not low life's and failures who should be left out of public assistance. They are the...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End Having an actual brand in the render means it will be included almost definitely correct? that would mean there are 2 new apple stores coming 1 here and one in seaport.

    45 Worthington Street | 6 (née 35) stories, 141 (née 385) units | Mission Hill

Apples and oranges. The South End is a massive area of similarly sized buildings this is one street of small surrounded by big.

    45 Worthington Street | 6 (née 35) stories, 141 (née 385) units | Mission Hill

Is this actually in the conservation area or just next to it? Are there not plenty of places around Boston with this problem? Next to an historic area =/= an historic area. This is a Transit corridor. I really do not see this as anything similar to urban renewal. They are replacing a parking lot...
