Vassar doesn’t need retail, IMO. It serves as a cross street from Kendall to Mass Ave / central MIT area.

I would much prefer that BU deck over the pike parcels than to build over Storrow. Improved connections could be made though.

A great opportunity for BU to partner with a developer on a mixed use commercial / academic / student housing project that could elevate Kenmore with multiple uses. Perhaps even a theatre component. Pipe dream, of course....

It would be an amendment to the IMP. BU Academy building is not suitable for redevelopment. Clearly the site would be used for future development as is stated in the document. BU Academy has many future options on the Charles campus. When Pardee builds, their current Bay State Rd location would...

The IMP states that the current location of the BU Academy is a potential development site. COM would make sense at that location.

The Pardee building on Bay State will be another highly visible structure from the Charles. It’ll be interesting to see which direction architecturally they decide on.

Anyone who frequently uses South Station knows that the side entrances are used quite a bit due to their conveniences to street crossings and accessibility to other nearby points of interest. I'm not sure anyone suggested a grand side entrance to rival the main entrance.

Not necessarily. There is no intent on replacing the main original entrance and I don't believe (correct me if I'm wrong) any intent on behalf of this project to extensively change the layout of the entrance to South Station. It just seems like a missed opportunity (especially on the Atlantic...

The passageway to the train concourse appears pretty narrow and tucked away on the Atlantic Ave side. There is really nothing depicted that implies "major train station here." Surely some signage is planned but overall it appears they've reserved the "grand effect" for the arches and ceiling...

By what logic, as you say, was it a bad move? It would be worth explaining (at the bare minimum).
