I wonder how many Naugas they killed to clad that thing?

    Falmouth Shopping Center Redevelopment

I am working on a large project behind here so see this place often. So much more could have been done to make this a standout project but it's just there. Nothing impressive about it.

I really do believe it is short sighted not to go ahead with the parking garage expansion at this time however the NIMBY's knew what they were getting when they bought property next to an airport ... https://www.pressherald.com/2025/05/12/residents-call-for-new-board-to-oversee-portland-jetport/

Old Port Square (née Canal Plaza) | Portland

As we all should be aware by now, until anything is put out for bid for construction and often even after, actual designs are fluid and can change significantly. I am keeping an open mind about this project. From a design perspective I actually kind of like it. We will see if that changes...

Except you are forgetting that aesthetics is a major influence on user experience. I've been a designer (landscape, interior and exterior, graphic) for over 45 years. A mis-step in design of any one aspect of a project can ruin the entire experience for the end user.

I would have reacted to the post but there is no puke emoji available.

Portland Museum of Art Expansion | Portland

Though I have NO knowledge regarding GPL's stance or involvement in preserving/restoring the Abyssinian Meeting House, if they were not 150% supportive of that then they have no place being involved in historic p-reservation in Portland at all. That certainly would be hypocritcal on their part...

89 Elm Street | Port Properties Bayside Phase 1A | Portland

I seriously hope this doesn't truly represent the final design and colors of the project. This is seriously oppressive in an already depressing area. There was no real thought put into the design here. As usuaL

Is it time for a new Portland arena?

Portland should not think about building a new arena that doesn't seat at least 18-20k at the minimum. Otherwise we'll just end up with another arena that doesn't allow for thinking big about hosting anything.

Well that explains why the terminal had not been cleaned when I flew out of Portland 10 days ago. I headed to Atlanta on the 5:30 a.m. flight from Gate 8 and the place was embarassingly filthy. Not really fond of the colors of the new carpet but at least it's clean. Yep. When I flew out 10...

Portland Music Hall | Cumberland Avenue

There is no space outside of the auditorium to offer F&D and it would be inappropriate to allow it inside.

Would adding a little color kill them? This is so MEH.

To be fair, the Merrill is not the type of venue where the audience is expecting F&D offerings at all.

Given Roux's emphasis on A.I., I am wondering about their computing facilities. Will they be on site or remote? Wherever they are located that is going to be quite the energy demand.

Very few of the Bozeman developments have HOA's. This pre-development is mandated by city code.

I find it ridiculous that they are going to build a new surface lot which will end up only being a temporary solution. Even the city council found it to be nearsighted. It seems everything they do in this city is a stop gap solution. They have no idea how to think big and for the future...

    General Portland Discussion

You name it. I love it because I can get to BOS early enough to catch the first flight to any number of destinations. Probably 90% of my travel is to the west, intermountain west and west coast. Based on their time zone I can easily arrive by noon, relax and prep for business later in the day...
