In the 80's Unum had one site in downtown Portland on Congress. The merger (no one wanted to think of it as a buyout but it was) did not come until the early 2000's and some of the operations were transferred to one of many locations including Chattanooga, Worcester, New York, South Carolina...

That observation deck blocking the view from the living room is a no-go for me. Especially at that price.

Thank God for the wood they used on the interior otherwise this entire project would appear incredibly cold which the exterior is.

Aesthetics IS part of the user experience. They are inseparable. Aesthetically pleasing architecture = positive user experience.

The issue with building residential with attached commercial (where you are expecting the renters to work) is that it isolates them from the rest of the community and they fail at integration into society. It's no better than the Jewish ghettos of Europe and elsewhere.
