One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

"Autumn's Arrival" / 20 September 2020 The alternating color splash is handsome.

The Alcott (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

"Skyward" / 20 Sep 2020 Clean and unapologetic; I like this tower. Apologies: I didn't correct for lens distortion.

"Absolute Unit" / 20 Sep 2020 Some new girders on the outskirts of the core.

Check out my previous post (483): image and discussion about what will be between the two tallest towers.

The Sudbury (Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower) | 50 Sudbury St | GCG Phase I | Gov't Center

When I visited the team's offices, it appeared that there could be some minor tweaking to the apartment tower's final design, but not too much (purposive). On another note, thankfully the building's height will terminate at the Sudbury's transition from apartments to condos, ~2.5 real floors...

The Sudbury (Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower) | 50 Sudbury St | GCG Phase I | Gov't Center

They are flexible with listings and showings. There are only five floor plans, with each unit type on each of the 11 floors.

We set up those cranes for your review this AM, @BeeLine! ;)

Lot H / 18 Sep 2020 Workers added quite a bit more steel this week (maximum height = 4 levels above grade).

Lot G / 18 Sep 2020 With very few exceptions, installers add cladding only after 1600hrs. No glass is on site.

Lot W (west pod) / 16 Sep 2020 Looks like a teal bar ... lots of point light in the ceiling. Of the three businesses that will occupy Lot W, two are slated to open on/about 10 October.

@etik Thanks for these! It's too bad Imgur can't support time lapse videos. I have some great fish eye vid from last Friday at midnight.

@stick n move Agreed. And while I understand many ABers aren't fond of what has been built on what once was a mud pit decorated with random flora, I have been here since prior to Lot N's construction and am pleased that each building's design improved from initial renders to approved...

@etik Spot on! I think I recall your comment tonight from the call (or someone who mentioned something quite similar). I own a spot but arbitrage its rent against that of Lot U. There were fewer questions than I expected regarding parking logistics. Lot U is going to take a while to get out...

    441 Morgan Ave | Lot U | Cambridge Crossing | Cambridge

@etik Thanks for posting these! I have more from the Zoom presentation tonight (were you on the DivCo call?), but other than detail shots of materials and infrastructure, I'm given to waiting to see the final accepted plans lest mine be "rendered" obsolete. Construction could begin by June...

The Sudbury (Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower) | 50 Sudbury St | GCG Phase I | Gov't Center

Sunset views from the condos are tremendous: especially looking toward the northwest from a floorplate aimed at the Charles. The river appears to cross beneath the building since you do not notice its turn at the Hatch Shell (and Beacon Hill is rather flat from that perch). However, the waning...

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

Owners of Sierra/Tango condos (Lots S & T) have been invited to a Zoom town hall on 16 Sep that will discuss (as yet, unannounced) plans to build on Lot U, formerly - somewhat ridiculously - a Phase II parcel. Lot U is the location where condo owners can rent outdoor parking if they don't own a...

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

Lot G / 14 Sep 2020 Unless the City accepted modifications to the previous modifications (!), the left extension is the start of the ~3.5 levels of mechanicals, chimneys, and shrouding. Occupied height is only 174', but the building will be 243' to the top of the shroud, so it will impose on...

Lot H / 14 Sep 2020 The highest steel reaches to level four. This building will be smaller than the Sanofi building (Lot G), but this is the one with the dual level lobby, and the extension/coupling to the Gilmore Bridge, I mentioned several days ago.

Lot EF / 14 Sep 2020 Somewhat of a joke: with Lot JK blocking Lot EF, my perspective of the two cranes' work is poor. However, steel is rising: in some areas poking to the second floor already.

Lot G / 11 Sep 2020 I watched these gents until midnight on Friday. Between two and six large pieces of the facade seem to be delivered daily, but I haven't been able to discern their mounting schedule. Quite a bit was done on Saturday, but nothing on Sunday.
