MBTA Commuter Rail (Operations, Keolis, & Short Term)

Thanks, Dad. Enter at 4:20 for a 4:40 Lowell train (typically boards at 4:30 so planning your travel from somewhere in the city to arrive at NS ten minutes prior to boarding is not unwise). 4:40 is cancelled. Next one is 5:25. And after experiencing both getting cancelled and waiting for the...

MBTA Commuter Rail (Operations, Keolis, & Short Term)

Once activated, the ticket will time out. Admittedly, it does give you a long time, but the app does currently tell you not to activate it until you get on the train. If you're using the app it probably would be best practice not to enter the waiting area until they announce a track. So, not...

    General Infrastructure

Ahhh. I get it. I thought we were discussing infrastructure and development, but it's just pedantic tomfoolery. Gedankenexperiment! I'm in. Company A owns lots 1, 2, and 3 and pays it's fair share of property taxes for them. Lot 1 is a materials plant, Lot 3 is the equipment yard that...

^ I haven't been over that way in a while, but I thought the BSG scales were on the access road immediately behind the BHCC parking lot closest the plant (just north of the Tobin ramps). That exit to Rutherford Ave is not a mile. Do they have another scale somewhere else? Or am I not reading...

Copley Square Revamp | Back Bay

Flame-bait invite incoming! I frequent the existing area as well, and am excited about the change. To me, the walking paths along the existing hardscape are at best indirect, and mostly uninviting due to either weather, or path condition, or lack of any sense as to where someone should be...

Family friendly sports bar. Food is good, beers are cheap, service is fast, TVs visible from all seats, kids get crayons, and depending on how the Sox do a meal can be an inexpensive outing for a family.

Getting a bit off the CR track (hah), one of the pitches from the town and push-back requests from the the FCMB to move ahead with the rebuild has been a TOD at the Waterfield Lot which is immediately adjacent to the current and future inbound CR entrance (west side). The existing CofC building...

If Mystic Lakes and Mishawum get a stop, why not bring Winchester Highlands back! Kidding aside, by the time Winchester Center is done it will be closing in on 70 years since anything of significance was completed at the station. So, Green Line to Woburn looks to be on the 22nd century wish list.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

Does slide 10 imply that moving the CR to its permanent side of the ROW is now at least a full year behind their performance goal date of this month? If not, have they announced how far behind schedule that milestone has fallen? I imagine that is a GLX critical path item that would delay the...

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

Didn't the GLX team say at a FMCB meeting in August that the timeline for moving the CR back on to its permanent side of the ROW had slipped on paper, but the real internal goal was to get it completed by this month in order to prevent further delays due to winter weather? It doesn't seem like...
