According to the contractor's update email, the deep foundation work won't begin until October (rather than September, which had been the stated timeline that they sent out last month). Not a big deal, but I'll feel much better once those supports are in place so that a tower can actually rise...

Agreed. On the potential plus-side, perhaps the 'corporate Houston' look will become 'East Coast cutting-edge cool' in a couple of decades? I know -- that doesn't make a lot of sense, but then again I anticipate that very little about the rest of the 21st century will.

Good news: that area IS part of the plan. I’ve just re-read some of the proposal/planning documents on massgov, and took screen captures of the pertinent sections, which include good visual maps, but my phone is refusing to upload them right now.

I agree with you, 393b40, though I'd like to see the walls cleaned up a bit. As a product of Philly for the first two decades of my life, I'm a fan of grit; but those side walls look like shit.
