The tallest building was cut down, whereas if anything it should be going higher. It's literally right across the street from the International Village Northeastern residence hall.

Individually none of these really justify having their own threads, but in aggregate it feels like a whole new neighborhood has been created over the last ~10 years.

I'm curious how one could live over a fire station without hearing the alarms every single time they go off. They're intentionally loud to alert the firefighters and would require some serious sound dampeners. There would have to be some sort of buffer floors before the housing could begin...

I'm estimating 16' for that very top section which would make this 182'.

It turns out that "Option A" is from one of the failed bids and the version in the first post is what will be built.

From what I remember the steps always felt a bit too steep, to the extent that climbing to the top was semi-scary. They're much poorer overall than the more gradual ones built at Fan Pier, and the top doesn't offer the larger standing area for small crowds to gather.

The chosen proposal reminds me of the old parking garage that was replaced by 45 Province Street.

Has this been decided? There's a 2nd presentation on page 43 3rd presentation on page 62 The heights listed in the next 2 slides don't include the mechanical crowns and thus are all too low, including for this proposal. 4th presentation on page 83

447' + the mechanical crown so should be pushing 500' based on the latest iteration.
