Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial | Boston Common | Downtown

Yea, tbh I'm kinda sick of people ripping this to shreds from pics and video online. Come and have a look and if you hate it in person, then fine.

the irish famine memorial is just normal statues and it's probably the worst piece of public art I've ever seen. At least this is interesting.

    Union Square D2.1 | 10 Prospect Street | Somerville

yea, happens where washington st passes under McGrath. They even put a sign up to deter it. Saw a crazy old lady doing it, asked her not to. Kept happening and one day I saw a car in the bus slip way with a guy throwing bags of bread crumbs out the window! A drive by bird feeding??? Why? About...

    Union Square D6 | Somerville

I just wish they'd be a bit more adventurous, how about a series of smaller buildings, maybe 4/5 story townhouses and offices with retail below, with a pedestrian path weaving through them from the corner of washington and Webster to the CrossFit and the new crosswalk on prospect to the T...

    Union Square D6 | Somerville

Yea, not sure if there was any major structural change, just decorative. Furniture and fixtures. I actually think they've done very well from all the construction activity in the square. Moving across prospect would be a great solution. I think CHA might be opening an office there too seeing as...

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

could the city and T not have worked together to at least get it to a reasonable starting point. This station is sandwiched between ward 1 and 2 so the city just washed their hands of it, Heaven forbid they do their part in a prompt fashion. nooo, it'll be great in 2040!

I'm thrilled that the GLX got there in the end but... I can't believe how poorly designed and delivered the E. Somerville station is. For years this area is the forgotten part of Somerville so when Bakers VE cut back plan hit, I guess it tracks that E. Somerville would be hit harder than the...

Yea. Took the train for the first time yesterday. The ride out of town was packed with winter classic fans. Great to see.

They didn’t even bother turning on the T sign at Washington for the East somerville station.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

yea but the GLX feels different. 6 new dedicated stations. Just stop at them for a sec so that people have one less step to think about as they get used to a new system, they've already been made to do some basic computer programing to get their ticket. It's all about usability and the T don't...

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

Its totally stupid. Its a new line that's completely separated, Just stop at every stop. I'm not sure I've ever been on a light rail line with it's own tracks not running on a street where I've had to request a stop. If someone wants to take the new line they have to go through the ticket...

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial | Boston Common | Downtown

Haven't seen it in person yet but it's looking good. Hopefully it tows the line right between abstract contemporary sculpture and a more classical literal style. It does look like it will become a real focal point for locals and tourists.

There's a height restriction sign on the new community path bridge span that crosses washington st. beside the entrance to the E.Somerville station. It's right at the center of the new bridge and it's clearly wedged in place with some scrap timber. I'm guessing it will stay like that for years.

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

yea, I think it could be great as this is the area the community path ends. Biking down from the Red bridge path to see a concert on a summer evening. Its also where the Grand Junction path will connect. What seems like a wasteland now will probably become quite a vibrant area thanks to the...

I have a $1000k e bike (class 1, pedal assist, capped at 20mph) that I use to ferry my kid around. I plan to use the path a lot as he spends a lot of time at the Y and cycling along highland is dangerous and unpleasant. I actually see e-bikes as major factor in future urban mobility. We don't...
