I'm all for bike lanes but dont really understand why you'd have both directions on each side running parallel to the community path. One direction each way with good green separation from the road seems fine. I also wonder if theres any way to reduce the size of the intersection at washington...

jeez. the city, state, and country are fine relatively speaking. As for budgets, look at what we spend on the military compared to everything else. And tax revenue? The super wealthy with their off shore accounts are delighted with you preoccupying yourself with the cost of processing poor...

I haven't paid close attention to this. Without getting too political, What were the reasons for voting no? Good old fashioned nimbyism?

This is an excellent point and makes perfect sense. It's gonna take 10 years for the trees to mature, till they do this will be a huge expanse with lots of under used green space.

I'm not sure anyone is complaining about the amount of residential being built, It's clear that it's needed and will be a welcome additio. People are complaining about the aesthetic, how it looks. I think it looks terrible. And yeah, maybe a bit of a nod to Everetts industrial past/present could...

or if you want to build a whole new community, do it better.

dunno. I've seen it in person and I'm with you on the panels. Would have been nice if they were curved on the middle front facing section. Might turn out ok but not inspiring much in me at the moment.

Took the T in to North Station today. Nice and fast over the viaduct. Kinda felt like some sort of project closure. Also the train was packed at 8.30am. Felt like it had been running for years. Credit where it is due. It's beginning to be a great public transit service!

They mentioned in their promo stuff that they were fixing it during the orange and green line closure of Sep '22. Over a year ago. They've since closed the line multiple times with no progress on that slow zone. Kinda wish they'd just come out and tell the public what the problem is.

Are the speed restrictions on the viaduct lifted now?
