South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I always thought the best highway skyline view was coming in on the Mass Pike and going over the "throat" overpass that may soon be gone. You have the Charles River, the downtown skyline, plus the Back Bay skyline all lined up for just a few seconds before you plunge down into the main cut of...

Allston Yards (Stop and Shop) | 60 Everett St | Allston

It's certainly one of the better renderings and developments that I've seen recently. I like the architectural variation.

Glad to see an actual water feature and not just steam or a drizzle. Looks nice!

    Logan Airport Capital Projects

I remember that too! I had a roommate who was studying Computational Fluid Dynamics at MIT and he later worked at Boeing. He loved to visit there and watch the planes. I don't think I ever remember the bar being open, but we were always there during the day. This was probably around 1988 or...

Very nice reporting. Where are those 900 office MBTA employees located now? The Transportation Building in Park Square?

What's up with the MBTA purchasing this office building? Do they already have offices here? I couldn't find anything online about the MBTA needing this space. https://www.bldup.com/posts/mbta-buys-quincy-office-for-13m

    kz's Wanderings Around Greater Boston

If ONLY it was so easy in real life!!!!! Overhead utilities are so ugly in my opinion, and Europe plus many other locations, bury them out of site. I wish they were all underground in the USA.

Good for them to include the electrical and telephone wires in the rendering! That's a new one for honesty in renderings! (Personally, I would love to remove most overhead utilities, but I know it's crazy expensive.)

Brickwork and details are better than most residential new construction that I've seen. I wonder how the first floor and sidewalk will be activated? Retail?

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

It's a nice photo and nice lobby, but the restaurants are closed and there is only 1 person with little activity. It seems very lifeless to me.

That circular apartment building in Winchester is crazy.

    Fenway Infill and Small Developments

Interesting that the building on the right has windows where it would normally be a brick party wall. How narrow is that passage? Are there windows on the new structure that look out on the passage? (I won't even call it an alley because it just looks so narrow.)

Well, it may be Carbon Monoxide Park, but it's better looking than the elevated T structure! :)

    Hull infill and small developments

Kind of off topic, but Hull has their Pride celebration on June 1st. https://www.hullpride.net/events/hull-pride-2024 It's ALWAYS an awesome time, and you can check out all Hull has to offer too! My personal favorite is the Parrot Restaurant. https://www.theparrothull.com/

As someone who lives very close to the Greenbush station, I would certainly entertain a shuttle if the service was every 30 or 60 minutes using clock facing schedules. As it is right now, it's just not very convenient especially returning from Boston in the evening with over 2-hour headways...

Suffolk Downs Redevelopment | East Boston/Revere

Is this the same building that you see from the airplane view above? The Turquoise green looks much darker and better from the plane. I wish this FIRST residential building that will anchor the development had the same quality as the one in the Fenway. Anyway, it sure seems to look better...

Didn't the T do a "Regional Rail" study where they looked at comparable systems around the world? I seem to remember the regional rail network of Melbourne being an example, and that's mostly electrified. Found it...
