Another vintage book to share... "Boston" by Bill Harris from 1980.
I saw that fat '70s Souvenir font on the homeowner's shelf (I was working my real estate job) and had to have a quick look.
Pardon my fingers but the pages weren't staying flat
Dorchester Ave being a public right of way that is also very much off-limits federal property sums up the so-close-yet-so-far vibes of that area perfectly. Every time I'm sitting at a red light at Summer and Dorchester I see that road and think "oh that looks like it could go somewhere cool." Alas.
Saw a Storrowing in action today! No visible impact damage but the outbound lanes were blocked and the truck was facing the wrong direction. I passed these along to adamg at Universal Hub and he responded immediately so you should see these over there too. I'd have to rate this a 6.5 out of 10...
Shot a condo on the edge of Roxbury Friday. A nice appealing ground level space except for the fact it's just this one room AND all the wastewater pipes from the upper floors are right there along the ceiling, so you hear every sink/shower/toilet doing its thing :poop:

Gonna try something a little different. I decided to look back at my photos from exactly 10 years ago and realized it might be a bit fun to recall some of the construction happening back around August-September 2014. Given how the pace of development has only ballooned in the intervening years...
Last day, let's start off with one of my favorite pieces of postmodernism, Helmut Jahn's 500 West Madison
It's weird but I think it falls into the "good weird" category
Then we made our way to Oak Park and its Frank Lloyd Wright Historic District
And finally we're back...
And just to add to the ambience, basically every day had a "feels like" temperature hovering somewhere around 110 degrees...... 95-ish air temp with loads of good ol' Midwest humidity 🥵
Felt like 114 at this point 🙃
All it took was 30 minutes to go from sun to...
Heyyyyy I also flew in Wednesday but the flight path and side of the plane I was sitting on didn't quite allow for closeups
South Station Tower doing its best job to completely disappear from this angle
Also yesterday from Malden
