While I don't like this building as a great piece of architecture, that's true of 85% of what's being built today throughout the cities. There's only so much that can be done with modern architecture, short of the variegated surfaces that sometimes give me a headache, like optical illusions...

I hope the price paid for accessibility and camouflage is not a new set of walls that remind me of the old expressway?! I know these are just schematics....but they send a chill down my spine!

Given the location of the new market the facade fine. The real story will be inside. Will it be affordable or just another yuppie/tourist hangout? Can they attract a decent variety of vendors who will not be gouging the public? I'm thinking now of Copley Sq market once a week...I'd wander...

Great use of London space...evocative of the ruins of abbeys throughout England...and appropriate use of architectural fragments. That section of Shawmut may have been perfect for a park for nearby residents...

There's a reason why the Catholic Church is against abortions! What a pity, indeed, a desecration! I agree with those who think it would be better torn down. I'll go a step further, tear it down and just leave a pile of rubble...that would be better than this rendering.

I agree - seriously, if someone is sleeping outside let them sleep on the fucking bench... it's the most assholish thing to deliberately design benches that way. Moreover, sometime I MYSELF want to enjoy some sun on a random bench, and cant because of said design. Everybody loses. Objects...
