South Boston Infill and Small Developments

The projects mentioned are all within 0.1 miles of Broadway station, and yet parking complains have already begun. It is a bit ridiculous. You don't solve congestion problems with increased parking.

South Boston Infill and Small Developments

98 A Street (my diner / Williams tavern) recently sold. Rumor is that the Developer is hoping to build a 10-story condo building, and based on location I would assume retail at street level. If those assumptions hold, A street now has 5 projects on the books towards the Broadway end with...

    Watermark Seaport | 85 Seaport Blvd - Parcel K | Seaport

I wonder why they are waiting until 2017 when the building is almost complete.

    BCEC expansion | Seaport

Garage is moving forward without guarantee of a BCEC expansion?

Hope the West Broadway Burger King isn't too far down the road. Quite the sketchy crowd around there.

Pier 4 Condo Building (Former Anthony's site) | Seaport

Re: Pier 4 Commercial-Condo Tower | Seaport Found this as well, but looks like an older render (too bad):

South Boston Infill and Small Developments

Apparently it is "board approved" but I haven't heard much about it lately. - http://www.bostonredevelopmentauthority.org/projects/development-projects/150-west-broadway-street Another poor rendering:

South Boston Infill and Small Developments

Good amount on the way on the west side: - Coppersmith (west third) - Worden Hall (west broadway) - TBD Italian Restaurant from Loco, Lincoln owners (old Dollar store, west broad) - TBD Coffee Shop (next to Pizza 260, west broadway) Plus multiple mix use projects in development with proposed...

Southie is very much still a neighborhood in transition. Commercial and retail transformation is next

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

What makes Boston so great is contrast. The Seaport looks and feels like no other place in Boston. It's bright (due to the sun casting down on the wide roads), shiny and new. Liberty Warf is bustling with activity most days and night, Pier 4 is going to be excellent as well. Seaport Square...

Washington Village | Andrew Square | South Boston

Re: Andrew Square Mixed Use Development I love this (minus how parking is laid out) but would be very shocked to see two 200+ ft buildings make it through community meetings in Southie.

South Boston Infill and Small Developments

That's great. Curious to see what the neighborhood groups come up with in terms of opposition against this one. It's a huge project, but looks like a win-win all around. Here's hoping that this project receives an urban design with street level activation. Surface lots are concerning.

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

There are actually some excellent parks in some of Boston's public housing developments.. D St. in Southie has multiple, and one large one that was recently remodeled. Q Park is fine. Would have been nice if there were some trees added and a few picnic tables, but nothing wrong with this park...

    The New Retail Thread

That's good news, hopefully something can open while Lawn on D is still up a running. The crowd that it draws is impressive, and would be complimented very well with an upbeat bar/lounge. Aloft's Wxyz bar looks like it fits that mold, although I've never been. Seems strange that the retail at...

    The New Retail Thread

Boring. But maybe the sort of retail that is missing from the other pockets of the Seaport? Nonetheless hoping the hotels have retail that will draw in Southie proper as well as convention goers.

14 West Broadway | South Boston

There is significant office space allocated to this project which will need executive parking, etc.

    BCEC expansion | Seaport

All of the current developments on D will have significant retail.. Flats on D, the two hotels as well As the proposed garage next to the hotels. Not sure about the BCEC side, but the outside event space will help tremendously. I'm curious as to what the Blue tower in the rendering is...
