    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

Re: Millennium Tower - Filene's I'm a bit behind on this building - is this the one that Target had interest in? Are they still in talks? Not to derail the conversation, but talking about ground-floor made me wonder.

    100 Pier 4 | 136-146 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Re: Pier 4 So the waterfront bars/dining, chic shopping and trendy restaurants were there 250 years ago? The current area as we see it today is there for a reason. Yes its anecdotal, so I don't want to focus on Georgetown, but my point is that if the perceived attraction is there, which in...

    100 Pier 4 | 136-146 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Re: Pier 4 In regards to the district as a whole, while overemphasized, I understand your point and its a valid one. But I still do not think it applies to the entertainment aspect of the district specifically with Pier 4. The draw is there, people will go in hordes.

    100 Pier 4 | 136-146 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Re: Pier 4 Accessibility is an obvious factor to an areas success, for sure. But if the location is truly worth going to for a specific demographic, those people will get there. They will take a cab, take the Silver Line, take a car, or walk. I mentioned NYC before, because although the...

    100 Pier 4 | 136-146 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Re: Pier 4 Do people need to go to Faneuil Hall? Comparing today's Faneuil Hall to Pier 4's potential is what kicked-off this debate.

    100 Pier 4 | 136-146 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Re: Pier 4 I guess I underestimate the laziness of the general public. Either way, the Seaport is not built for doing extraordinarily well in the Winter, and the tenants there know this.

    100 Pier 4 | 136-146 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Re: Pier 4 Agreed.. but who goes outdoors to spend $$ in January anywhere in Boston. Bottom-line is that a 15 minute walk is nothing.. Look at NYC, everything is at least a 15 min walk or a cab ride from the Subway.

South Boston Infill and Small Developments

Re: South Boston Development I think South Boston now requires something like 1.3 spaces per unit for all new development

    100 Pier 4 | 136-146 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Re: Pier 4 Construction Starts It will... Plus its also just a 15 min walk from Aquarium and South Station T stops. Very nice walk along the water at that.

    100 Pier 4 | 136-146 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Re: Pier 4 Construction Starts If the retail is done right this could be the most important development in the district. Could/should be the faneuil hall of the seaport.

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

Re: Innovation Dist. / South Boston Seaport They did just purchase the Yard House chain. But with the new Yard House at Fenway, I can't see them opening another in Boston proper since they are so huge, but who knows. They are also in planning stages of opening one on Rt. 1 in Peabody.

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

Re: Innovation Dist. / South Boston Seaport I like “Freedom Wharf" the best, although do not like that Darden Restaurants would fill it. A Marine Science lab is an excellent fit for the Innovation district. I wish Cresset's was a little more ambitious, although it does sound like it would be...
