There's the new Wollaston Station on the Red Line which is being built without provision to double track the Old Colony line in the future.

A while back, some of us were trying to figure out how the Old Colony could be double tracked by piggy backing off the HOV lane project on 93. It's a real shame that the new Wollaston Station project doesn't provision for future OC double tracking.

A Worcester +1 would probably be done in conjunction with a new expanded layover ala the Fitchberg Wachusett extension. There's a suitable looking parcel for a layover half a mile north of the Auburn Mall site, and there's several areas around the treatment plant and landfill in Millbury that...

It's also a bit of a head scratcher figuring out how to connect the mouth of the tunnel to Providence station, what with the station effectively being underground, and a tower having been built right in line with the ROW leading from the mouth of the tunnel.
