The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

There are 24-25 above where the hotel roofline, so another 7 or so. I'd guestimate it will top out about where the top of the concrete pump is, in the most recent pics.

Pier 4 Condo Building (Former Anthony's site) | Seaport

I have a couple buildings going up near me...balconies were all prefab and literally last things tacked on. It will have that pop of texture soon enough.

Motor Mart Tower | 201 Stuart Str. | Park Sq | Boston

I can hear the pearls starting to clutch from 3000 miles away....

Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

It is sooo good... Finally got to see it briefly over the weekend, and cannot wait to come back and see the space come alive.

Columbus Ave Student Housing | 10 Burke St | Northeastern University

Northeastern didn't build it. A private developer, Phoenix Property Development did.

The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

They were there in 2008...how old these were in 2008, I don't know. I'm pretty sure I've seen pics from 30's or 40's and they weren't there. I'd love to see the iron star masonry braces make a return, even if for decorative purposes.

Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

I like it...and love the project. The loss of the wrought iron windows on Water Street entrance has me twitching negatively, a little bit. The replacement is not commensurate with what they removed.

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

For international visitors from Asia and Middle East who like to spend, it's a very well known brand. The chance that they can say it's their first/flagship property in North America gives the property some extra PR/marketing boost. But yes, it's probably not who they were thinking off when...

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

Like regular level aB hatred of all facade mock ups, or lower than the low bar The Architectural Team normally sets on every shit they drop on the city?

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Re: Whiskey Priest/Atlantic Beer Garden Redevelopment | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport Yes, although most of these brands are about as unique as a LV monogram handbag. Sure, it looks luxe in the shop window, but your Aunt Linda also has one in the back of her '92 Saturn.

Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

No, but it draws your eye up and you wonder what is causing that gold/copper 'reflection' on a sunny day (even though further inspection you see the illusion). It also helps the addition float in the sky a bit, which is kind of a nice effect. Before, it was interesting, but felt very heavy...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Re: South Station Tower Oh thanks, none of us knew any of this.

Arsenal Yards | Arsenal Mall Redevelopment | Watertown

It would, and it definitely is. Change the material colors/finishings and the vegetation in the renders, rinse and repeat all over the world. Boston likes to think of itself as the dumping ground for the world's bad architecture, but sadly it is not the case (just a lot of it).

AVA North Point II | Archtone phase II | East Cambridge

Goddam, I can't believe that post is almost 5 years old... and we are still talking about half of the same projects. 🤣🤣🤣

Kenmore Square North (WHOOP) | 533-541 Commonwealth Ave | Fenway

It's the hazy summer nights that you, your parents, their parents, spent at Fenway. It's your signpost when drunk wandering the Kenmore area after the clubs closed. It's a rare bit of color on an otherwise austere night skyline, reflecting in all directions on the Charles. It's also the only...

    Downtown Crossing/Financial District | Discussion

For f*cking f*ck sake, that is terrible. I know landmark status was denied for 150-152 State, but seriosly, come on!! Who signed off on this as the replacement? I always found that bit of ye olde Tudor charm, even if faux historic, to be an endearing part of the State Street streetscape.

Assembly Innovation Park | 5 Middlesex Ave | Somerville

What's the immediately next to 93, in the renders? Not their project, but definitely some massing models of something.

    The New Retail Thread

And that's more my gripe with dogs. There are limits to where pets are appropriate, or not. London as an example, is very lenient, but has a common sense approach. A more formal dining room, or bakery with food out in the open is a no. The casual pub, pub garden, patio cafe, etc, it's shocking...

    The New Retail Thread

Closing hours of literally anything at night, outdoor drinking without requirement of having to eat shitty food, no dogs in restaurants, pubs, outdoor patios, etc. Happy Hour, anyone? I'm not even a big drinker (most of the time), but find these little things to be grating annoyances -...

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Yep, but everyone can hear the voices of Aunt Linda and Drunk Uncle, from some god forsaken 495 town, on their one day a year into Sodom and Gomorrah. They will make their somewhat comical 'opinions' known on the D-line, as they miss the stops for Kenmore or Fenway, while complaining about...
