Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Van Ness) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

Re: Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Goodyear Tire) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway Massing is absolutely spectacular here. I think that the glass (half?) of the building is well done... wish they stuck with that design with the rest of it. Reminds me of a building I saw in Warsaw... can't...

    Congestion toll in Boston?

Yeah. same idea can work for on street parking. there's no reason parking at rush hour should cost as much as during 7-8PM. I just think it'll be 10x easier to implement a parking surcharge that dedicates funds to transit than to fiddle with a congestion charge.

    Congestion toll in Boston?

instead of dealing with all the hassles of a congestion charge - can't we just increase the rates at parking garages during peak hours? -people passing through (specifically in the big dig tunnels and not going to Boston) won't need to pay -residents don't need to pay -delivery trucks/other...

    Roxbury Infill and Small Developments

Oh definitely, my points earlier are specifically towards the Dudley station area. the rest of Roxbury eventually will see the same type of small scale investment that's mentioned above. there's a lot of solid housing stock there that's going to get snatched up quick. -but not for a while...

    Roxbury Infill and Small Developments

the claim that dot's housing stock is worse than rox's is dubious at best. if you said southie, I'd start to agree but dot's is much more mixed, and actually similar to rox don't take my words as an affront toward rox, btw... my overall point was just saying I have little faith in the powers...

    Roxbury Infill and Small Developments

no way. that's a whole different world from Andrew and broadway. different crowd entirely. that type of development has burned through much of southie and is now blazing through north Dorchester, hugging dot ave and the red line. but that type of great small scaled market rate stuff isn't going...

    Dorchester Infill and Small Developments

This is great. also, there's what looks like to be an apartment building under construction between hancock/savin hill on pleasant. I'll snap a pic sometime. w/r/t to this new proposal, this whole area is surprisingly abandoned, and shitty, compared to the rest of the area directly to the...

"The Beat" | 135 Morrissey (Boston Globe Site) | Dorchester

Re: Globe Site that master plan's just great conforms to the geography of the place increasing/decreasing height as you get closer/further from jfk nice strong grid that doesn't look like its autodominated "enclosure" of the open space rather than just open space for open spaces...

    Dorchester Infill and Small Developments

I don't get it. place is literally next to a T stop. also, theres no parking permits around here. don't think there's a leg to stand on re: parking if its not even to the point of having a market for it in your hood

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea (Study Meeting) Damn. Didn't read this before I posted up above.^^. Shot down! How much would you say it would cost to get to the casino from Chelsea/mystic mall- to the gateway center. How many overpasses are we talking about. The Row looks like it's there...

    Silver Line to Chelsea

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea (Study Meeting) True true and id love it to see it go that far! But when you're hustling like this- you gotta give them something tangible in return and then the ask can't be too much. If you really want it and you're not just bluffing. A bridge over the mystic is...

    If Boston had a Circulator

I don't get this. Maybe I'm a dumbass. Probably, actually. But why do we need a new bus layer, on top of regular buses. That ish just confuses the piss out of people like myself. If the mbta needs a better bus, maybe we should just ask for a better bus. Isn't this basically that track 61 train??

    Silver Line to Chelsea

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea (Study Meeting) Yo, so what's the odds on Wynn ponying up for a SLX to gateway/wynns rodeo/big ass casino?? Shits already going to mystic mall. To get to gateway is only 2 stops, maybe 2 miles, plus it route primes that ish for a full green line urban ring. What's the...
