    Rose Kennedy Greenway

As much as I would love to see the Greenway mostly covered in development, I doubt we can consider it "one of Boston's prime buildable sites" with any degree of realism.

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Re: TD Garden Towers This is not what I was expecting but I don't completely hate it. The brick portion is small and PoMo in the traditional sense (more an ironic gesture toward the past than anything). My biggest wish would be that the entry arch be wider horizontally, maybe, for an even...

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

Re: Fenway Center (One Kenmore, Mass Turnpike PARCEL 7) If by "eliminated" you mean "part of Phase 2". But yeah, who knows if it's likely to actually happen.

Yes. My god, this. Harrod's closed its last overseas location, in Buenos Aires, a few years ago. I wouldn't hold your breath.

St Paul's Cathedral Alteration (Nautilus Pediment) | Tremont St | Downtown Crossing

I'm thinking the problem might be the blue background? It doesn't seem necessary at night and it highlights the cheapness of the material during the day, which might look less offensive against weathered stone.

    Downtown Crossing/Financial District | Discussion

Point to add - Faneuil Hall Marketplace was another retail competitor to DTC that helped kill it (slowly). Central Boston maybe couldn't support three major shopping districts. Or maybe it could, and it was online retail that delivered the death knell to the least coordinated and well-prepared...

    Downtown Crossing/Financial District | Discussion

"DTC needs to do something the suburbs don't do" is a fallacious argument for at least two reasons: 1. It presupposes that people don't live or will be living in DTC who will want similar amenities as those who live in the suburbs, ignoring all evidence to the contrary (e.g. the success of the...

The Victor | 110 Beverly Street | West End

Re: The Victor NY's urban renewal was much more limited vis a vis its overall urban fabric, though, for the most part was intended to improve housing conditions by "de-slumming" the poor into projects, rather than stoke economic development, and didn't touch nearly any of the city's central...

Charlesview Redevelopment | Western Ave | Allston

I like this development overall, but what is that winding path through the buildings in pic 1? Looks very towers in the park esque. Do not want.
