I'm not exactly clear on when the shootout was supposed to have happened, but it seems that he didn't move until they fired flashbangs at him to get him to react. I imagine it must have happened then or sometime after that.

Why wouldn't there be a monument to the Texas explosion? There's a monument to the Hotel Vendome fire in Boston, which was also a deadly accident.

Wait, I think it's actually just a deeper conspiracy. The Rifleman is clearly a false flag planted by the government to distract us from the official announcements the government claims it wants us to hear.

Why any debate over an aesthetically appealing part of the city? Don't fix what isn't broken. Any increase in density the island would bring could easily be achieved by upzoning parts of underutilized Boston or Cambridge. Traffic sucks on the Mass. Ave. bridge? Time for a subway that branches...

It sounds horrible to say so now, but ultimately it probably won't be remembered as a major incident. I tend to forget the Atlanta bombing, which was on the same scale, even happened until I'm reminded of it. There were more deadly terrorist bombings in the early 20th century in many US cities...

The London attacks came the day after the city had won the right to the 2012 games. No one, to my recollection, questioned the city's ability to handle them after.

Re: Millennium Tower - Filene's Leaving any exposed Filene's wall that was meant to abut another property is in poor taste. Contrast, yes. But this is too much. The way the Washington Street facade looks almost like an Old West false front is horrible, too. And the awning is bleh. I'll take...

Yeah, I'm aware, but I still don't think their one "Samsung Securities" division is really enough to propel Seoul to the top of the list of world financial centers.

I wasn't aware Samsung was a bank. This is a list of financial centers, not corporate/industrial ones.

Re: 319 A Street Rear My post wasn't really meant to disparage this building so much as comment on the sad fact that a decent building like this seems "great" compared to the crap we normally see. This kind of quality should be standard at least.
