Not what I was expecting either, and certainly not what was promised, but something.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Same. It seems like virtually every project that promises a fountain, later “value engineers” it away. Mass Mutual was also supposed to have a fountain out front, which evaporated. Very disappointing. Boston could use some more good fountains.

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

Give the guy a break. You criticized him for being off-topic, but what did your snarky comment add to the conversation? And he said tallest in the USA, so he was correct. Petronius is off-topic.

MassMutual | 10 Fan Pier Blvd | Fan Pier Parcel E | Seaport

The Building is very nice, but it is disappointing that they apparently eliminated the water feature that was hyped throughout the approval process. The Seaport District is lacking in significant fountains or water features (the harbor itself excluded of course).

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

I agree with Stick. I have always perceived a green tint in the blue glass of the Hancock Tower. Raffles looks like a purer blue to me. That contrast should help distinguish the two and hopefully preserve the elegance of the Hancock Tower in the skyline.

Kenmore Square North (WHOOP) | 533-541 Commonwealth Ave | Fenway

The building still sucks, but I kind of like the sign and think it improves the building.

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

This project is in Brighton, not Brookline, other than a small pocket park adjacent to the building. I believe there is a separate thread for it.

They were playing at the time. Time to replace it with a Patriots flag. They will be playing soon enough.

International Place on the site of the city-owned Fort Hill Garage.

    Clippership Wharf | East Boston

This looks great. It is a shame that you can't get here from the downtown Harborwalk to the East Boston Harborwalk without going underground. A ferry service between Long Wharf or some other point downtown and Piers Park would be awesome in the warm weather months.

Yeah. BBAC will have to approve. NABB will have input, but does not have veto power.

He is referring to Planet Hollywood, in which Stallone and others, such as Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and Schwarzenegger, were investors. The building was originally built for Planet Hollywood, but I think the company filed for bankruptcy before the building was occupied and it became a Fidelity...

Correct, and the elimination of the columns and balustrade that framed the entry to the plaza.
