This was done for pennies on the dollar from the original (adjusting for inflation). This was all machine made from a digital scan of the original and had 0 human hands carving anything. Tuition may have gone up ... but not because of this project. cca

No way that yellow brick was designed being out of plumb so randomly like that. When texture is desired it is done way more intentionally. This is looking like an apprentice got this assignment. cca

42" is the standard height (by code) for all guardrails. Guardrails are engineered to this height and the likelihood that the have made them taller than that would be surprising. HOWEVER, as few as they have and at the cost of the building ... making custom guardrails would not be prohibitive. cca

That is because good design does not HAVE to do with beauty. It does often have beauty as a criteria (when the client says it need to be attractive-whatever that means) ... but modernism was about something very different. I wont go into it here ... but there is lots to appreciate about...
