Love the view from this angle

But I think they run into the same issue I mention on the prior page with Payson Park or Dougherty Field in that you lose other recreational uses (in this case, the baseball field behind Deering). I don't think the track should be moved with a net loss of recreational uses. There are only so...

I don't think it will fit there, either. You need a space that is roughly 575' x 260'.

Just thinking out loud - if the track at Fitzpatrick is a hindrance towards getting the field to meet USL standards in the long-term (assuming any waiver to the requirements would likely be temporary), there really are only two viable options: (1) Work out agreements with Cheverus, South...

Yup, every parking lot noted in red on this map is city-owned property. Any one of these could be subject to development once the parking garage is completed. The potential for development of that property is exciting. I know years ago there was a proposal for a 7-9 story condo high rise on...

I'm willing to bet good money that the City puts out an RFP on the parking lot between Bank of America and TD Bank as soon as the parking garage is done.

I love the boldness of Toshiko Mori design, but as others have noted, the Lever design feels more "Maine" and I love the curved roof. I do like this aspect of the Adjaye design, as well as their interior feel and flow. They fall flat on the Free Street side, though.

Heck, I'm not even sure the Covetrus building will be done by summer of 2024.

I didn't realize the current Hobson's Landing lot/former Deering Lumber was originally a small train yard. I knew there were tracks that ran under Park Street and High Street, but I just assumed they connected to the tracks along Commercial.

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

I used to commute once a month to our home office in Boston via the Downeaster. I'd usually splurge and get a business class seat, which my company was OK with given that it cost less than reimbursing me the mileage + parking. It was great to be able to get work done in those two hours and not...

From what I gleaned during the presentation and Q&A, they seem to have many more tenant agreements in place than they've announced so far. Pure speculation, but it could be related to this comment from PWMFlyer in the General Discussion thread:

I just watched the public forum zoom meeting. They didn't show much that was new in terms of renderings or plans. I'll post the three screen grabs I took below, but a few takeaways: (1) I had been losing faith in this development team, thinking this was heading towards suburbia, but the...

Call me crazy, but I kind of like the buff brick version better. I'm partial to that style, though. Almost all buildings at my alma mater are buff brick.

Jesus, that's a lot of Zip tape. 🤣 I wonder if they know it's OK to just liquid flash the nail holes instead of taping them?
