Medford Life Science Park | 278-326 Mystic Ave | Medford

I love that there is often a car fanatic that sneaks cool cars into renderings and most people don't notice. There is an ultra-rare, Lancia Delta (might be an even more rare Integrale spec) in white parked at the corner - never imported to the US. It was a little monster designed for 80's...

74M (EDGE Assembly Sq.) | 74 Middlesex Ave | Somerville

I am sorry to ask this, but after digging around, I could not find it, but how tall is the taller one going to top out at (behind the La Quinta hotel)?

On The Dot | 505 Dorchester Avenue | South Boston

You may be right. I was thinking it was a last-minute decision to add and they had a junior staffer to quickly whip this up in 20 minutes.

On The Dot | 505 Dorchester Avenue | South Boston

Looks like they did the massing and elevation visuals in an XLS spreadsheet. Gets the job done.

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

Not to derail too much, but I took the fam there (5 hour drive from the twin cities) and was impressed by the Old Market area revitalization as well as the Gene Leahy mall. The mall is a bit over-hyped, so while it is really nicely executed, it is somewhat small and overrun with people. As...

Northeastern University - Institutional Master Plan

Lol, I bet it is impossible to renovate in a cost-effective way to make it "modern" from either an aesthetics or energy efficiency standpoint. I remember when that was the only tall-ish upper-class housing and being impressed by the "view" back in the 90's. How NU has changed.

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Fantastic. There is a Lamborghini Urus SUV in the valet. List price is $240,000, with most optioned up to over $300K. It fits the targeted clientele demographic perfectly.

West Cambridge / Alewife Area Infill & Small Developments

That was a little before my time, but I do remember the shopping center next door had a Zayre's and a Woolworth (I think) and if I was really well-behaved, my mom would get me a hot dog at the lunch counter in the middle of the store. Ok, I think I have derailed this thread enough. ;)

West Cambridge / Alewife Area Infill & Small Developments

Did you go to the Fitzgerald School? ;)

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

I've been to the Raffles in Singapore. I would say it is on par with Four Seasons, Mandarin is a slight level up. The Raffles Boston will attract the Ritz/Four Seasons/Mandarin crowd that is familiar with the brand from either traveling to Asia or are from Asia initially. I think it will...

808 Memorial Drive Renovation | Cambridgeport

Of all the colors in the visible spectrum, the chose pumpkin?

Ragon Institute | 624 Main Street | Kendall Square

Is there an AB award for "what looked like a drab 3-5 story lab building that should have been taller, but has amazing exterior cladding and is shaping up to be a stunner"?

BU Data Sciences Center | 665 Commonwealth Avenue | BU Central

What strikes my circa-2007 memory comparison is the number of new buildings between 200 Clarendon/JHT and the Christian Science Center.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Could someone explain to me in English why this building is snoozy or boring? This isn't Miami or Sunny Isles with their shouty Bugatti or Bentley Residence towers. I think it is subtle from a distance and has some nice detail up close. It also looks very well made. I also think the crown...

7INK (née Ollie) | 217 Albany St | South End

The back of this building looks like a 1990's Double Tree in a second-tier city, maybe close to an airport.

    Union Square D2.1 | 10 Prospect Street | Somerville

That second to last picture: A cleaned-up Union Square with new lab building and high rise in the background with a woman getting out of her double-parked Range Rover. Very different than the Slummerville I remember from the 80's and 90's.

    Hull infill and small developments

There are a lot of nice new developments in Asbury Park, along with a couple of really good restaurants, helping it shake off its janky past.

BU Data Sciences Center | 665 Commonwealth Avenue | BU Central

So cool how this thing abso-posi-lutely dominates your attention when gazing in the direction of the BU campus.

    Maxwell | 35 Garvey Street | Everett

I like this development for a number of reasons, but one of which is that these buildings are being dropped right alongside existing density residential and commercial, vs in a suburb off of a highway with a big parking lot. Those are needed, too, but you can live here and walk out your door...

    Minneapolis | Twin Cities

The hotel under construction is on N 1st Street. FWIW, the Haute Dish sign is still there even though it closed year ago.
