The back of this building looks like a 1990's Double Tree in a second-tier city, maybe close to an airport.

That second to last picture: A cleaned-up Union Square with new lab building and high rise in the background with a woman getting out of her double-parked Range Rover. Very different than the Slummerville I remember from the 80's and 90's.

There are a lot of nice new developments in Asbury Park, along with a couple of really good restaurants, helping it shake off its janky past.

I like this development for a number of reasons, but one of which is that these buildings are being dropped right alongside existing density residential and commercial, vs in a suburb off of a highway with a big parking lot. Those are needed, too, but you can live here and walk out your door...

The hotel under construction is on N 1st Street. FWIW, the Haute Dish sign is still there even though it closed year ago.
