I think we have a decent amount of good sushi (albeit not cheap) between Oishii, Zuma, Cafe Sushi, O Ya, Uni, Duozo etc.

Northland Newton | Needham St. @ Oak St. | Newton

Putting aside the obvious traffic issues on Needham Street, that intersection of Christina Street, Oak Street and Needham Street is a complete disaster and will only get worse once this is built.

Aren't there two Four Seasons residences a mile from each other in the Back Bay?

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Not a surprise since every project with a hotel component is scrapping it (likely due to inability to finance), but the city could really have used a hotel in this location.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

I believe JetBlue started its service from Logan to Heathrow yesterday. I think that currently makes 9 non-stops a day from Logan to London airports which matches the most ever between Boston and London.

Northland Newton | Needham St. @ Oak St. | Newton

Tell me you don't drive on Needham Street without telling me you don't drive on Needham Street. :-) Since I doubt any Green Line extension will be built around here for a decade or three, most residents will still need a car to get to work etc. That being said, agreed on the nice renders!

Why do you say that? ;) This thread is a year older than my teenage daughter.

Hotel Project (Current Shell Station) | 1241 Boylston St | Fenway

I know there is probably very little financing available for hotel projects right now but there can't be more than 300-400 hotel rooms currently under construction in the entire city of Boston. Expect Boston to once again be among the most expensive cities in the US for hotels once (or if)...

Although VERY close, I think Wahlburgers is on Brookline Ave not Van Ness. Techincally, Tasty Burger will be behind Wahlburgers (which is terrible by the way). I miss the original UBurger in Kenmore Sq. Grand Slam burger hold the mushrooms!

Crazy how close that Delta hangar looks to downtown in that second to last pic.

I understand not wanting to pay for a unit for a balcony if it was extra, but all other things being equal, may I ask why you would prefer not to have a balcony? I loved my small balcony when I lived in the city 25 years ago.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

I am still perplexed by a skyscraper with balconies for offices but zero (not even in penthouses) for the residential component.

Where is that Sal's pizza located? I don't remember a location near this project.

I'm really getting sick of the awful "yes, this is a pool" banner that's been up for about 2 years now.

    Newton Infill and Small Developments

That's not true. I found this Patch article that says there was a major renovation in 1990. Admittedly, MUCH longer ago that the 10 or so years I thought. But I knew the current building is not the same as the building of my childhood when I was a student in the Newton schools...

Correct. Amex Platinum card holders have access to Delta lounges only if you are flying Delta that same day and present your card. I have used this perk before without issue.

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

At this rate, it may be closer to early 2024 before this thing is completely done. I'm sure they'll say COVID/supply chain issues/Ukraine/inflation and whatever other tried and true 2022 excuses they can come up with for the delay.

Anyone know how long ago they renovated the Countryside School? I thought it was only about 8-10 years ago.
