The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

The Comcast Tower has better proportions and a more substantial spire... reminding me of the Sears Tower in Chicago. I just wish the Hub tower were designed with a taller "second step" so to speak, to take away come of the squatness. Even though the spire will reach over 600ft. I still think...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Not sure if this was mentioned anywhere already - I couldn't fin reference to it. But... Gee... look familiar? The architects COMPLETELY ripped off Phillys' new Comcast tower. Of course... theirs is over 1,100ft tall and ours will barely break 500ft. :/

30 Dalton St. Residences | Back Bay

What about the garage that is right next to the Pike? It's on the bottom right hand side of this photo? Tear it down!

30 Dalton St. Residences | Back Bay

Hilton and Sheraton should feel ashamed. *sigh*

Lovejoy Wharf | 131 Beverly Street | West End

I love this development. And great pic... Once the "Hub's" base starts going in, that picture is going to get very, very busy. Can't wait for that intersection to develop just as Lovejoy starts to wrap up across the way.

One Canal (formerly Greenway Center) | Bullfinch Triangle | West End

I think this turned out just fine and certainly serves its purpose. It's got decent scale and massing and also creates the illusion of separate buildings with the use of different materials. It's respectful to it's neighbors and fits in with the rest of the neighborhood without being too...

    🔹 What's Happening With Project X?

I agree with you... I would say to leave the rest of the block completely untouched. I think the blend of the older buildings abutted against a new slim tower would be masterful there. Especially if the tower took the curved shape of the Borders building. Leave the surrounding buildings in place!

    🔹 What's Happening With Project X?

Someone mentioned 1 Bromfield in another post. So I have a two-part question... Part 1: Has anyone heard anything new on this? The most recent news I could find was from Jan 7th of this year. Part 2: This got me thinking about other properties that appear ripe for redevelopment, of course...

    Gov't Center Station Rebuild

I actually saw an article... I think on Boston.com. There were also some blurry pics attached to the article, as the photog apologized because he'd had too much to drink. I'll see if I can find it again and link to it. EDIT: Found it... Here's the link...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End Well said, timsox. My wish is to not have a plateau created here. All 3 of the major buildings in this area are practically the same height. The res tower being taller would just add some much needed variation in shape and...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End I actually like the office tower. Im disappointed with the residential tower. I know it's been said before, but the lack of height on the res tower just kills the proportions. Did anyone notice the "map" of Boston on the...

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

Re: Congress Street Garage Development | West End The building discussed in the article: is that the shortest, middle or tallest of the three buildings in the complex?

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Damn...just stick a nice spire on top of this sucker and go for a new tallest! Is there a significant cost to adding spires or other ornamentation? Why don't more builders dress up their buildings? Imagine the Hancock in Chicago without its double spires...totally different look (aka boring).

    🔹 What's Happening With Project X?

First off...this thread is a great idea. Didnt want to bump the actual TD Garden Towers thread, but I had a question. Im still unclear whether or not the existing renders are just massing projections or if they represent the actual buildings to be built. Love the tall Tower on the left (when...

    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

To get a visual sense, that's basically like taking the entire portion currently without cladding and adding it on top of the existing structure. SOAR baby!

Copley Place Expansion and Tower | Back Bay

The last 5-10 posts are making me absolutely giddy. The prospect of the Garden Tower(s) going up simultaneously with Nashua Street Res... And then thinking Millenium will be wrapping up as Four Seasons and Copley are hitting their stride... *Sigh of Contentedness*

    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

Yeah - I know about the Four Seasons... but there's nothing to point to and gawk at just yet. I was just excited to know this sucker will push 700 when it's all said and done. To em that feels, right or not, a lot more substantial than when I thought it would barely break 6.

    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

Excellent! I was in Boston with my wife and kids and pointed saying "see that? That building is going to be me the tallest building anyone can live in here in Boston. It's going to be almost 700' tall!" I was hoping I was not not a liar! I went back through the thread (skimming...
