    Overpasses in and around Boston

Wow... thanks for sharing that info! That is really unbelievable. It's unfortunate that, as you said, it wasn't stopped in time. I still feel like a major bullet was dodged.

Avalon North Station | Nashua Street Residences | West End

Re: Nashua Street Residences (North Station) And what's the status of that? Rifelman is right - Development in front of the Garden is long overdue. The Garden has been up since '95 and plans/drawings have existed for even longer. Why is DN dragging their feet?

    Landmarking Brutalism

Gov't Center Garage - Has to go... is slated to go... and thank God. Hurley Building - I may be in the minority, but I actually like this building. Boston may not need the entire complex though. It would be great if there was a way to keep only the portion of the building along Merrimac. The...

    Aerials

Who owns the parking lot between the Garden and Spaulding Rehab? (near the off ramp). Any chance that could ever get developed into a tower? Would look very cool driving down that off-ramp with Nashua Street Res on one side and another tower taking up that lot.

    Overpasses in and around Boston

Wasn't sure where else to post this. Forgive me if there is a thread already dedicated to this subject. I found this article really interesting. http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/2012/08/22/somerville-boston-mull-future-overpasses/AJM4G6FkiiNOCqb7YaEZZK/story.html Who knew that...

    GEOSPAN...

I wasn't sure where to post this. But I stumbled upon this site today and it seems absolutely amazing. I was just wondering if anyone on this forum has used this. http://www.geospan.com/product-3daerial.asp

    The city that Tom built

I heard Mumbles wants to install hitching posts around the city. I think there's already a set down by the saloon.

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

And I thought it was going to be an actual labyrinth you had to find your way through. Didn't realize it was just a design on the ground. Was really hoping to meet David Bowie. :/

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital | Navy Yard | Charlestown

I was under the impression the old Spaulding building was to be torn down to allow for more tracks in/out of North Sation. There are a couple of platforms within North Station that don't even extend out past the building. They currently go unused because there is no place to put the tracks...

    Fan Pier Developments | Seaport

And they are certainly "pile-driving". The past week or so I've been walking from Intercontinental to the Courthouse fairly regularly and I can say that it's quite loud. Nice to see some action!

The Alcott (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

Re: Garden Garage Towers (New West End building) <edit> BTW - Sorry for reopening a thread that's been idle without posting any real news. I know that's frowned upon... but I've been away and am just seeing this.</edit> You are absolutely right about the google map thing. We know they'll...

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

After looking at those first two pics something occurred to me (and maybe this has been expressed before). The RKG would be so much more effective if it was actually bordered by buildings and businesses instead of 3 lanes of roads on BOTH sides. It's too bad they didn't design it with 4 lanes...

    Waterside Place 1A | 505 Congress Street | Seaport

Re: Waterside Place So any guesses what HYM actually stands for? Since it's apparently something his daughter used to say, I'll guess "How's your milk?" Of course, because we're talking about big real estate, it's more likely "Here's Your Money"

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

Thanks for the doc, Paul. I just love how South Station Tower is in those image. Er... actually I hate it because it reminds me yet again of what could have been. Bastards.

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

Forgive me if this is a dumb question - but wouldn't the parking garage on Clinton St (the one with HardRock Cafe) be a prime location for new development? You can see it in the photo posted above. It seems as though that's a very important location with the proximity to FH and the RGK...

Atlantic Wharf (née Russia Wharf) | Atlantic Ave | Waterfront

Re: Atlantic Wharf (formerly Russia Wharf) I actually took all of the pics from common areas on 34 & 35. Some of the conference rooms had similar views. I think all of the "offices" were actually one floor down.
