Setting hyperloop aside, high speed rail isn't exotic. It's a technology that's been deployed since the 1960s and gradually upgraded in the decades since. In comparison, self-driving cars are still an experimental technology that haven't been deployed in revenue use anywhere yet.

Re: Congress Street Garage Development Wow, the contrast in that second photo between the garage and city hall versus the North End is just jarring.

MGH has a teaching branch and clinics there. They run Partners shuttles from the main MGH campus to their Charlestown campus via North Station. It's a pretty inconvenient location.

That and Coolidge Corner has plenty of ~8-story apartment buildings too. I do hope the Durgin Garage development actually goes well. They put up some posters in the abandoned storefront windows, but that's a pitiful attempt at making it look nice. Also, welcome to the neighborhood. I'm really...

The absurd thing about PRT is that the only "problem" it solves is not wanting to be around other people on transit. At best an airport people mover novelty.
