I've argued on your side in various contexts, but I do think that building enough desirable senior housing to serve folks otherwise aging in place is a valid thing, especially since there's supportive services and community activities associated with these places.

Yeah, I found that quote pretty great. It basically comes down to "yeah, I realize that you can build large multifamily housing in the whole city, but I should be able to stop it from happening on my street". It might be the most NIMBY thing ever said.

I used to live on Ellery, across the street from a 6-story apartment building and next to a 7-story office building. This lot is also less than 500 linear feet from these beauties... This is not a single-family housing neighborhood. I'm more annoyed the parking lot next door isn't part of the site.

If you look at the picture of the other side, it seems like the spot where the logo would go is being used for the construction elevator (I think). I bet a logo goes up later.
