    MA Liquor Laws

Just saw this article saying that Senator Julian Cyr is putting forth an amendment allowing Happy Hour in our Fair state. Thoughts? I'm always down for anything that could bolster Mass nightlife.

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

I would love if Mass followed California's lead (damn I never thought I'd say that) and pass something along the lines of SB 423. SF just lost their strict permitting process since they were too slow to build new units, and for suburbs like Brookline that are too picky with their zoning, it...

Idea for fixing the housing shortage

An additional reason the legal/code spaghetti can be tough to navigate could be inside players using safety/accessibility as reason to further their own agenda. Easy to sugarcoat a law that would better your pockets by using safety and accessibility to obscure one's true motives. And more...

Idea for fixing the housing shortage

The price difference between US and European elevators is jaw dropping (as well as the unnecessary work the unions have won), but I wonder how the ADA comes into play with those elevators. My experience with a great number of hotel/apartment elevators in Europe is that it can be difficult to fit...

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

As cute as those were, I could not understand everyone hyping up the MBTA for those googly eyes. People from the "protest" were talking about how this was proof that they listen to citizens – seems to say it proves how easily they could listen in every other scenario

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

I know Brookline loves to dead-end to keep Boston roads from entering the glorious Town, but too snooty for Newton now?

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

I was more thinking the Boston to New Bedford route rather than the other way around. I'm sure the city is much more focused on tourism/transit dollars entering the city, rather than providing park and ride parking for New Bedford residents trying to leave.

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

this might kneecap the efforts for some to use South Coast rail as a connector to the ferries out of New Bedford. I know the NB ferry companies were lobbying for the line to terminate right near the ferry terminals near JFK Memorial and I'm happy they have some space so transit riders need to...

    Logan Airport Capital Projects

Honestly naming the terminal access road after Bill Russell would be final slap in the face for the Russell family. I know we've already named a route to the airport after another of our sports icons, but just the road to the airport would not do justice for that man who was a hero despite a...

    Logan Airport Capital Projects

I'm glad they're not changing the now iconic shape of the control tower. It's funny how it has become a unique image of the airport at this point.

    Boston College Master Plan

right here, but considering the mess Pine Manor was in before BC bought it, it's possible Mt. Ida had a satellite campus

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

i want to say that CVS on the corner of Hammond and Route 9 is sometimes listed as Newton, but the neighborhood of Chestnut Hill is making everything confusing (as it often does)

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

Honestly with that building across the street that Tatte is in, this isn't even that crazy of a move. 4 floors to 6 floors isn't that much of a jump.

    General Portland Discussion

it looks like a flag hanging out of a frat house. Just do a yellow wordmark and that would be more striking and more attractive

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

I've always dreamed of those townhouses next door to extend all the way down route 9, maybe this would be a good starting point? Even just knocking down that wall would be nice, i get why a school needs it but opening up brookline always makes me happy

Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

yeah even just being there for a couple hours on a saturday it really stuck out how every public grill seemed to have 3 families happily sharing it. I love NYC and will always talk about the unique community it brings together, but Roosevelt Island felt like something completely different and in...

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

some of those new developments seem out of place still. that new building across from the fire dept and NETA looks nice, but then they put in a kitchen supply store that seems like something you need a parking lot for and isn't going to bring in a lot of foot traffic. The only pedestrians I see...

    The New Retail Thread

In NYC people would be lined up all day to go to that Museum of Ice Cream location. I always thought what a waste of a day in NYC

Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

what was that like commuting to Roosevelt Island? I visited once when I was living in NYC and it just seemed like a headache to deal with, but Roosevelt Island seems like a nice community
