Can we please make the exterior more interesting? I think Portland is getting tired of this design.

It'd be a "pity" if an accidental fire destroyed the Bean Factory building slated for saving. Out of everything that SHOULD have been saved in Portland, this isn't one of them. Oh well.

The USM traffic circle is purely utilitarian. Similar to a couple of circles out near Gorham. Portland needs a dozen more of these all over the city (and SoPo, Scarborough, Windham, etc etc) to make traffic flow better. I think circles are so foreign to Portlanders that if you made it too...

I like it - just wish they were taller and looked a little less like Eastern Europe. But I won't complain, this development is more likely to happen than Foreside or Portland Square

Resurgam is the Portland Motto. Phoenix may work in reference to the great fire. I would prefer something indigenous for the "spirit of place" and history (and not just a casual shrug of a reference, a legitimate one). Algonquian or Wabanaki Nation would fit. Abenaki, Mi'Kmaq, Maliseet...

I often thought the Grand Trunk Train Station could have made a great public market. Instead Portland tore it down and now has a wastewater pump. Sexy.

If we want an accurate depiction of Portland we should just show them an empty parking lot or a building being torn down.

I like the rust tile look at the new back entry way.

This is such a great example of rehabilitation and in-fill. Redfern really leads the way.

That's development in Portland for you. Add that to the list of "never happening".

Better yet, rip the ugly garage down and completely start over.

And this doesn't include Westbrook, which will add a small portion. But they did just put out RFP's for downtown lots, so who knows. Row Row is a big question mark IMHO.
