I suspect that this is what's going to happen as well. The T and State both need the good publicity from this and they're going to want everything to be perfect. It's not often we do something on time and on budget in Boston.
I mean it would be nice if they would do all that. Although I'm not sure how necessary a winter garden is. And I have no idea of what they mean by rethinking how the water moves through the Hook site.
Redeveloping that piece of crap building next to it would be pretty nice though.
Re: Wynn Everett Casino | Everett
And I doubt Curtatone has enough political skill to be able to spin this as a positive for him and use it to unseat a popular incumbent. And if Curtatone is counting himself out who does that leave? Kim Driscoll? I doubt Maura Healey's going to run.
Re: Wynn Everett Casino | Everett
I thought that the idea was that Curtatone is getting ready for mount a run for Governor in 2018, so stalling Baker's agenda wherever possible and painting him as the villain makes sense.
Walked past the site today for the first time since September and I noticed that they'd been making some progress on this. Can't wait for it to start shooting up.
Re: City Hall Plaza Polar Bar / City Bistro
This reminds me of something you would see at a fairground somewhere. I agree with Van that the best use of the plaza would be to parcel it out and sell it to developers.
I was under the impression that the power plant redevelopment was going to be mostly residential, which is obviously not the case. Am I just completely wrong or was it proposed as residential at some point?
Re: Tremont Crossing in Roxbury
Looks like that Southwest Corridor TOD that's supposed to help ease Boston's housing woes is starting to become a thing.
So who can we expect if all of the airlines that might bring the A380 to Boston like Turkish, Emirates, and Lufthansa are prioritixing frequency over the A380?
Re: Old Boston Edison plant on Summer St
I think you might be thinking of the Fort Point Channel, not the Reserve Channel. The Reserve Channel is much further away from all of these things and this site is on the wrong side of it as well.
I thought that we had determined that the FAA height limits in that area wouldn't allow for an 800 footer? I might be wrong though, I would love to see something like that here, preferably with at least a semi-decent street level activation though.
