Massachusetts Multi-Family Requirements for MBTA communities

My previous thread was locked after it became an unrelated rabbit hole on racism in zoning. Final regulations have been released here. Some concessions were made to smaller towns, specially it caps the required increase in housing stock to 25% of the towns existing housing stock. It also...

    Logan Airport Capital Projects

Unrelated to logan but Frontier is building a new terminal area in Denver without jet bridges, moving towards Ryanair style outdoor both door boardings. https://thepointsguy.com/news/frontier-airlines-boarding-stairs-denver/ It'll be interesting to see if this catches on elsewhere (and at...

    Whats left to build on?

Wealthy towns don't approve new multifamily housing unless they're forced to!

The plan up until the 70s was to build a new I95 through Lynn Woods. If that highway was built then Route 1 would likely not be a 6 lane high speed highway. It's a stroad that leans more towards a road, but has dangerous turn offs for businesses. You can still see remnants of the planned I95...

Color scheme is terrible. Colors don't match.

Personally, I prefer somewhere to take walks that isn't the side of a highway with people driving 80mph. Just a personal preference.

I don't get the appeal of living on route one. In fact can't think of a less appealing place to live in the area

    Beverly Infill/Small Developments

Regarding loud NIMBYs for this site. They had a legit point that Windover, the developer, designated some delapitated buildings on the site as a historic district in order to get tax credits for some affordable housing next to it (a 2 million dollar grant). They then proposed taring down that...

JetBlue and Spirit agree to merge.

True. However for Alaska it was an interesting purchase as virgin had no fleet commonality with Alaska's all Boeing fleet. JetBlue and Spirit have similar fleets, only difference being the more cramped seating arrangements at spirit.

JetBlue and Spirit agree to merge.

JetBlue is paying 200 million less for Spirit than Alaska paid for Virgin And Spirit is a lot larger than Virgin was pre merger.

That excuse was understandable in 2015, but not in 2022.

What a joke, this should erase any illusion of Charlie Baker as a fix it governor.

JetBlue and Spirit agree to merge.

With this likely killing the American JetBlue alliance, I wonder if JetBlue will join one of the international frequent flyer programs? From an antitrust perspective I think star alliance would be most likely, as JetBlue will have the least overlap with united (of the big 3) once this merger...

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

JetBlue hasn't proposed eliminating the northeast alliance. However I see that as a negotiation tactic, not giving the best offer up right away. I agree that there's no way that the northeast alliance survives with this merger going through. Frankly, the northeast alliance is worse for...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Another reason to add an encore/assembly pedestrian/bike bridge. Would be a shorter walk than the walk to Sullivan. A commuter rail stop serving that area is also not a bad idea. The gateway center is also a good spot to add some denser TOD. Every CR stop from Beverly to Boston is dense...

I wish they could implement free transfers to the orange/green line tunnels through these fare gates.

Is there any reason why the T isn't looking at 3rd rail for the north side instead of canterany wires?
