    New infrastructure bill

For road infrastructure, I hope they redo the 93 128 interchange in Woburn/Reading. That's the worst highway interchange in the state, way too much traffic for the current design.

    2021 Boston Mayoral Race

Beverly and Salem kept their incumbent pro development mayor's by large margins over competitors that were anti development.

    2021 Boston Mayoral Race

Guess all of the attack ads of Wu wanting to defund the police and being in the pockets of the developers did not work. Good.

    Crazy Transit Pitches

A more reasonable transit pitch would be an infill somewhere between wellington and Malden Center. Encore should have a bridge to Assembly.

MBTA Commuter Rail (Operations, Keolis, & Short Term)

The SL3 should extend to Assembly and Sullivan.

MBTA Commuter Rail (Operations, Keolis, & Short Term)

Commuter rail is a regional service. The new Chelsea station is on the border of Everett where a number of new housing developments is planned. I don't think it makes sense to have a 2nd stop so closeby in the area. Additional closeby stops hurts service for people from Salem/Beverly, which...

    Is parking too cheap?

It's definitely something that should be neighborhood specific. Neighborhoods like the north end should have high parking fees while ones like west roxbury should have small or no parking fees.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

I stand corrected from my previous comment, the train was going under the speed limit so it was likely not an issue that PTC could have corrected.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

Regarding Amtrak, we don't know exactly what caused it, but in a lot of these accidents positive train control would have prevented them. The MBTA has been putting in PTC on all of the commuter rail lines.

New Red and Orange Line Cars

Sure it's technically mattapan, but the mattapan line serves wealthy neighborhoods in Milton just as much as it does Mattapan itself. It straddles the border between Boston and Milton.

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

It would be safer if it was the median shoulder and not the right hand one.

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

BRT is what's needed. Not a bus stuck in downtown traffic, or one that waits for 5 mins at every stop for people to pay.

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

I'm glad that north station to seaport BRT is proposed. Frankly I think that's necessary for how much the seaport has grown, and to improve ridership on the northern commuter rail lines. It would be nice as true BRT (enforced separated lanes and fare control). Or just make buses free, since a...

    2021 Boston Mayoral Race

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Walsh campaign on reorganizing the BRA, but then just change the name when he was in office?

    2021 Boston Mayoral Race

I'm having a hard time differentiating the final two candidates on development. Both call for more comprehensive zoning and less ambiguity with the BPDA. Wu goes slightly further to propose abolishing the BPDA. Idea sounds good in theory but it depends on the execution.

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

A big part is that few developers in this environment are going to propose a new office tower, and the skyscraper market for residential isn't large.

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Pandering to wealthy NIMBYS while using buzzwords of climate change and racism as an excuse. I'm beginning to think that Janey is an idiot.

New Red and Orange Line Cars

Helps that we haven't seen pre pandemic rush hours volumes, makes the delay in new cars less bad.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

Massachusetts banned surge pricing up until last month. That had the unintended effect of causing lots of drivers to quit. At base rates, Uber is not profitable for drivers. Also, you'll get cheaper Ubers from the airport during the day than you do late night. Late night there aren't as many...

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

Ehh. UA doesn't have enough of a domestic route network to compete for frequent fliers in BOS, so I don't see LHR happening. Could be wrong though.
