    CBTC for the T

How possible would it be to install a Communications Based Train Control system, similar to those installed on the metros in Beijing, Shanghai, and Paris, on the Red Line, with future expansion to the Blue and Orange Lines, as well as new construction? Would a Bombardier system work well for a...

Millennium (Hayward) Place | 580 Washington Street | Downtown

Re: Hayward Place I could see Foster doing a building that size in his style. Perhaps he can be hired and they can glam it up a bit!

    Redesign the West End

Perhaps Boston should adapt a "Smart Code" for development, like Miami has. I also realized that the city should ask DPZ Architects, the developers of the smart code, to develop a plan to repair the West End and make it more livable and walkable community, and less of a tower in the park complex.

Has anybody heard that Wegmans will be opening their next MA store in Burlington, in the Northwest Park Redevelopment. Here is the story: http://www.wickedlocal.com/homepage/news/x724668774/Wegmans-proposing-to-locate-at-Burlingtons-Northwest-Park Personally, I think Waltham would've been a...

    Crazy Transit Pitches

Perhaps we should consider the entire T as a version of the S-Bahn, or BART. Since it can be extended into the suburbs that are within the 128, it could count as some form of regional rail. If the North-South Rail Link is finally built and the MBTA Commuter Rail is transformed into a regional...

    Central Square

Bump: Ablarc, would this drawing be a perfect description of your vision for Central Square? BTW, I can't see the photos that your originally posted to show examples of what your vision of Central Square should be. Can you please give me a link to them?

    Westwood Station Developments

Not to mention the fact that the space available for a food store is 50,000 square feet and that could be a bit tricky. What about Waltham for the third Wegmans location in Boston? Since land in Boston would be a bit pricey and Wegmans wont be opening downtown anytime soon, although it could be...

    Crazy Transit Pitches

What do you think of upgrading the 600 V DC Current to 750 V DC for the Red and Orange Lines and for future extensions, in addition to a new Urban Ring, an upgraded to heavy rail Green Line, and the Blue Line. Also, what do you think would be a good choice of rolling stock to replace the old...

    Crazy Transit Pitches

You've read my mind about an extension of a Green Line Charlie_mta!! I always wanted to connect the E Branch with the D Branch, and have the E Branch rerouted entirely under Huntington Avenue and converted to heavy rail. You read my mind. I only wish I knew the skills to create my idea of a...
