I am more interested in seeing what UMaine-Orono does with their $90 million. Hopefully they update the Pit and increase the capacity so it can be used once they start drawing interest/winning. I read UMaine was going to announce more details before the end of 2020 but haven't read of any update...

So let me get this straight...build a new ballpark with a smaller capacity? I get the luxury seats and event space is better/exist than Pawtucket, but come on at least build a facility that has a bigger capacity than McCoy Stadium! 12k or more makes more sense as we here in 2021 and tickets...

I wouldn't be opposed to having UMaine play some games there. I just hope they make it so at some point the capacity can be increased. Hoping the capacity is closer to 8k. Yes mixed use would be ideal. Sounds like a great potentially venue for state tournament games too.

I am thinking a 10-13k stadium, similar to Dillon stadium in Hartford, CT. Guessing Fitzpatrick stadium. I do love the style of Providence Park in Portland, Oregon, but is a an historical landmark. Also has a larger capacity as it is home to the MLS Portland Timbers.

I was speaking with a Market Basket regional manager who stated once the Westbrook store is up and running they are looking at property on the Peninsula for a new store. I am curious if they would go near the old port or the plaza near St.John's street.

Anything on the peninsula should be fair game if it is next to old Port. I really like the rendering.

Yes, but New England is a different/unique when it comes to minor league sports, both Portland, Lowell, and Pawtucket rank at the top/near the top of their leagues in attendance. I am guessing they will be able to get an extra 1-2k with the lawn seats/standing room.
