    Manchester Infill & Small Developments

I agree that the architecture looks like something out of Disney. Don't understand how this was seen as fitting in with the city's downtown plan. I would rather have a 4 story mixed development brick type building there with the restaurant on the first floor.

Did you guys get the "scoop" on the midtown project? Great photo regardless, and glad to see the movers and shakers of Portland uniting. I have to admit Cory belongs in this pic.

this sounds very concerning. Pulled out of the arena aspect of the development?? Are the Red Claws still interested? Can't say I am surprised.

I get my haircut across the street from this Dunkin donuts they are building and they mentioned to me the Dunkin in Granite Square (South Main Street) will close as it does not have a drive thru. I was hoping for a mom and pop donut shop like Brother's donuts in Franklin, NH. Which by the way...

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

When I visit Portland this Summer, I will definitely be checking out this new restaurant opening sometime soon called "Slab". I guess you can call the Pizza "slab" Portland's own. Check out the link http://maine.eater.com/archives/2014/05/20/behindthescenes-photos-of-slab.php

    Portland - Civic Center

Maybe this was already mentioned, but has anyone heard if the CCCC is adding court side seating for basketball games? I know during the state championship games before the renovation there were none, meaning you could only sit in the main seating bowl. By adding court side seats (behind the...

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

I like the design. Reminds me of a structure you would find in the bay area of northern Cali. Any news on a possible corporate name for the CCCC?

I love the idea of a new mixed building where the old Police Station is, but God is it ugly. Well the colors anyway. I'm guessing that is suppose to be geared towards the SNHU crowd. I would be so excited if they had the light rail come thru Manchester like that. I could easily walk to a...

    Portland Bayside

Peter Monro belongs on an episode of the bizarre TV show Portlandia. On the show he can play himself and make fun of "The other Portland". Calling Portland, Maine being too hipster-like and how he loves a real, small urban city. He should find a city/village where a nimby is loved. Somewhere...

    Manchester Infill & Small Developments

As a resident of Manchester, I must say the city has some really great projects which been developed and in the works. Hopefully the south end of Elm Street spurs growth with recent construction and renovations to present buildings. I spoke to the owner of Mangia (hands down the best Italian...

This is great news. I live off the Goffstown Road/Amosgkeag exit. My wife and I are always baffled by the design of the on and off ramps. If you do not use this exit and have to, well good luck! We are both from Connecticut where the highways are much easier to navigate. Unrelated topic, I...

    Thompson's Point, Portland

I was wondering when and if the Thompson Point site was ever going to develop. I wish this place had an ice sheet/rink included in the main arena. You can never have too many ice rinks in Northern New England. This is going to be a "game changer" for the city of Portland. Looking forward to...
