    Green Line Reconfiguration

My only point there was that you have a much longer route whether tunneled or done with bus lanes to get from Harrison Ave to the portal than from Washington Street to the portal.

The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

It was considered worth saving because it was designed by Charles Bulfinch and is one of the few remaining examples of his work in everyday buildings. If I remember correctly.

    Green Line Reconfiguration

It has plenty of space to add them it is a political will issue there not a space issue. Washington Street has space for lanes at that point as well as long as the parking is removed for a stretch of about 900 feet and there is no need for stops along that stretch so there is plenty of room for...

    Green Line Reconfiguration

That would create a route with a few strange zig-zag parts both to get to and from the Pleasant Street Portal and then to get back over to Washington. Washington Street has plenty of room for a trolley reservation and lanes even at its narrowest point so there is no need for this jump over to...

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

I made a quick mock-up of how Summer Street could be restructured to fit one general travel lane in each direction, parking, bus lanes, bike lanes, and wide sidwalks. Here is my result. Edit: Loop routes like the one you are describing are not very effective especially if they run in a one way...

BHA Charlestown/Bunker Hill Redevelopment | Charlestown

It is absolutely bullshit. I hate that class, but if we are going to have a discussion on it we might as well use the correct framework.

Marriott Moxy Hotel | 240 Tremont Street (Parcel P-7A) | Theater District

As long as it doesn't cause clearance issues that is probably a benefit because it protects sets and other items from getting damaged by precipitation during load in.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

Thanks for the information I knew the process had started but I wasn't sure what point they were at.

BHA Charlestown/Bunker Hill Redevelopment | Charlestown

Profits versus wages matters a huge amount and even my economics professor has spent part of more than half of all our classes talking about winners and losers and why labor is often on the losing end even when things overall are going well economically. He certainly is not a Marxist but there...

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

The type 9s are essentially just supposed to be more reliable newer type 8s. The type 10s I believe are going to be fully low floor and will be a full fleet replacement. I think the T has started putting together an RFP or they already have one.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

I think the flat front is partially a result of tunnel clearance issues with some of the tightest curves and is used to keep the train shorter allowing more space for passengers.

401 Park Drive (née Landmark Center) | Fenway

Re: Landmark Center Expansion | Fenway I have to agree with Stick on this one. I think this is a well done design.

BHA Charlestown/Bunker Hill Redevelopment | Charlestown

Also busing students has actually worked out well in Boston by distributing the income levels of students more evenly which relieves the pressure off of all the schools and prevents the Boston school system from encountering some of the same equity issues that other cities like DC for example...

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Nope there was essentially no major opposition.

[CANCELED] 1000 Boylston Street | MassDOT Parcel 15 | Back Bay

Re: 1000 Boylston Street | MassDot Pike Parcel 15 The main difference is that the tower itself is mostly over solid ground or has plenty of space to place supports between the rail line and the mass pike as well as Cambria Street. The tower will go over the open grassy area, Cambria Street...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I see your point, but Boston really shouldn't be built that densely 9 miles out from the city considering it doesn't have anywhere near the population of NYC. On the other hand I think that areas in the urbanized core should be shifting towards mostly 5+ story developments and that does seem to...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

101 Federal is one of Boston's best neo-deco buildings but I think the new Liberty Mutual building is just as good if not as good although it certainly is a shorter building.

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I completely agree with bigpicture on this the main issue is the anomalous light blue box at the base of the tower that looks stuck on. That is something that I think could be revised out prior to this being built, but at this point we just have to wait and see what happens.

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Wasn't the residential building the one approved for 600 feet not this one. I thought this one was approved for about 500 feet.

Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

Re: 2/28/18: Thank You TransitMatters for a Bold and Practical Vision You can't use those at all of the high platform stations that already exist and it would be a huge cost at this point to tear them all out.
