The weather could go one way or the other, but the one thing that we know for sure is that the T's equipment that's years past its retirement dates all now have one more year's worth of wear and tear.

People in Charlestown use the bridge over the damn locks all the time even though they randomly open when boats come through. Doesn't really seem to hurt anyone's trip in a major way.

Delay could be a possibility, but I don't think anyone in this market is worried about sales, especially near downtown.

I hope this can survive the shit storm. It manages to combine so many facets of the Boston NIMBY zeitgeist into one program. CARS! PARKING! YUPPIES! PRIVATIZATION (ironically or un-ironocally, depending on your view point on curbside parking)!

It's cool that the tower accentuates how much it's at the center of ye olde Bostone (DBA Downtown Crossing) and how much of the surrounding area has been historically oriented in that direction.

@617 There hasn't been anything I've heard around the North End. At one point in the Supermarket Saga, this was going to be the location. That was before the new Garden building agreed to sign one on, but who knows - maybe another could go in here? Personally, I think the area could support one...
