The quality of the news and photos is as high as it's ever been, but yes, I post and read the discussion a lot less than I used to. Not sure if it's a declining quality or just the fact that there's "The ArchBoston Discussion Cycle" and that I've already been through it a few hundred times.

The Fells Point Market in Baltimore is sort of similar as well, although in a pretty ritzy neighborhood.

The Magic Johnson was in North Point, and I think they've since sold their interest although I could be miss-remembering.

Not that I'm a height fetishist (personally, I think there are plenty of cities denser than Boston that aren't filled with towers that are good goals for us), BUT... "Manhattan-ization" is a bunk argument. For Boston to turn into Manhattan, we'd have to build 10+ towers a year for 100+ years...

This was actually a regularly scheduled neighborhood coffee hour with the mayor. The gals from Friends of Christopher Columbus were supposed to be showing off the rose garden while the mayor took a few questions. The press conference happened spontaneously after a ton of media showed up.
