Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Van Ness) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

Re: Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Goodyear Tire) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway I don't think anyone is arguing that it won't be great to have Target here and that it's not an upscale shopping destiny. I think jass and I were commenting on our surprise that Target interiors we've seen...

Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Van Ness) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

Re: Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Goodyear Tire) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway Yes, but let's face it--we are increasingly looking for "hip" shopping experiences. The same reason Shaw's had to up it's game and add a Starbucks, the reason we go to Whole Foods, the reason Millennium Tower...

I've eaten at the NYC and Chicago outposts (in Chicago just last week 3 times--twice for lunch once for dinner)--there are definitely "meal"-worthy stations. You cannot eat there for 5.99 as you can in most food courts. 10.00 is probably on the lower end for a sit-down meal experience. But the...

Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Van Ness) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

Re: Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Goodyear Tire) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway Actually, I felt that way in the City Target Chicago a couple weeks ago; kind of surprisingly "run-down" feeling for a relatively new concept.

500 Boylston Infill | 500 Boylston St | Back Bay

Not sure about the cheap, but it definitely looks awkward--a whole "and now for something completely different" interlude within an already somewhat over-busy façade. There's an argument to be made that this enclosure should be as neutral and unprepossessing as possible.

Public Food Market | 136 Blackstone Street | Haymarket | Downtown

Decent list, but I wish there was a bigger variety of produce and cheese vendors (though if the focus is on local, produce and cheese types could be pretty limited). Within the "meats" category, I hope some one or more of them specialized in real charcuterie.

BRA's Kairos Shen's under pressure to resign

of course, cost is always a fact of life. ROI, however??? For millennia, what pharaoh, emperor, pope, tsar or potentate gave ROI a second thought?

Steinert Building | 162 Boylston St | Theater District

Lots of interesting points raised above. As others (and the Globe article) note, this will be a labor of love for an entity not looking to turn a profit, but it could be a very interesting technological/engineering achievement which would add to Boston's cachet. A nice opportunity for someone...

The Viridian (Fenway McDonald's) | 1282 Boylston Street | Fenway

I don't think it's terrible, but it might get a bit more pizazz if there wasn't a tree right in front of it and if the entrance was framed in a contrasting tile.

Re: 121 Seaport Boulevard | Seaport Square Definitely nicer that anything else down there.

Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Van Ness) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

Re: Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Goodyear Tire) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway Certainly bigger, but cooler? seem like more glass boxes from the renderings I've seen.

Boston Landing | New Balance Complex | Brighton

Re: New Brighton Landing | New Balance Complex I agree it may not create a pedestrian-oriented area, but I think it will certainly be a destination if it has some profile as a significant shopping/hotel/skating venue. A kind of mini-Assembly Square.

It is NOTHING like Whole Foods. It's mostly imported Italian gourmet stuff. No fruit and vegetable (unless this is different from others). I think you would have grounds for complaint if this Eataly only had high-end/sit-down dining--I think if they are eliminating the food court, Prudential...

Hamilton Co. Apartment Bldg | 1085 Boylston Street | Fenway

+1. I think is has a nice "substantiality" (is that a word?) about it--kind of a solidness that characterizes the best of Boston architecture.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

As an aside to itchy, I think Madrid's Terminal 4 (the only one I've flown into) is great--not at all on par with the others listed, though I agree with the sentiment. But I think "world class" is not a term most people would apply to this modification of Terminal E. It's fine, it's functional...

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

We turn water features off and on in deference to the cold weather--if this were permanent, I'm sure it could be stored/repaired and reinstalled yearly. I think it's a shame that something that "works" this well in this particularly Bostonian space should not live beyond a single season in 2015.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

Definitely an upgrade and very functional looking, but world class? Maybe in the world of US airports it is competitive, but I can think of 50 international airports that are WAY more architecturally impressive. Not complaining (I'm good with functional), just keeping it real. ;)

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

I think you mean it WILL be possible? And are there no plans to connect-up A as well? It would be an annoying quirk to have only one terminal not connect post-security to the others...
