I don't know what to feel about this project. I know that the plaza kinda sucked and that Philip Johnson was not so much of a great person but I really despise the plans for the infill space. Is the project even going forward or not?

Ah, thanks for noting. Before I had much information about this project I was getting scared that the footprint of the tower would just be taking up a bunch of space inside the actual main concourse.

So, will this tower in any way interfere with the actual main terminal building?

I'm personally not sure about the Saks tower idea, I think the Pru is fine the way it is right now. It's a little cramped.

I think I'm fine with Boston the way it is, maybe another 600-footer would be nice.

What ever happened to the idea to renovate the 175 Federal Street base? I remember reading an article about it once and I was just begging to see that awful "Tootsie Roll" tower get a makeover.

Isn't the whole reason why we can't build supertall just because of the bedrock depth, or is it something entirely different?

I wonder what'll happen to that little Skywalk ticket booth with the Prudential Tower statue.

A new restaurant at Floor 50 would be pretty cool... but I think that floor is either being turned into office space or more observatory space.

New Pru video I found, which is filmed from the Hancock rooftop. You can see that the Top of the Hub space has been all cleared out, and is apparently starting construction! 😮

Does anyone have a photo of what the Hancock deck looked like? All I have is a photo of the view out the windows, from a Boston book circa 1997.

The more I look at the proposal for the remodeling, the more I admire it. I just don't like the stark white interior, that's all.
