    Assembly Sq <-> Casino Footbridge

    Is building a more direct pedestrian connection to the Assembly Square station from the proposed Footbridge an official part of the project? I hope so.

    Assembly Sq <-> Casino Footbridge

    That's just chump change for the Kraft Group, and for the State as well. Instead of building their next mickey mouse suburban highway project, build this!

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

    I hear what you're saying about extremism. Me personally, I'm not Jewish, but went to a public high school in Cambridge where about 20% of the kids were Jewish, and I had, and have, Jewish friends, so I tend to be pro Israel. But that's just me. I don't want to get into politics or religion...

    Gillette leaving Southie.

    A tax break for small ground-level retail might help.

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

    I looked at their info, and they don't appear to be extreme. It's just a Jewish organization for Harvard students, apparently.

    Really nice photo of North Point Park in Cambridge that I found on a ReMax website, of all places: [

    "Dirty Old Boston"

    Love the density. The one thing missing is a pocket park here and there.

    Great! I remember when it was the "Cities Service" sign, which was the precursor company to Citgo.

    Jefferson Park Housing Redevelopment | Cambridge

    Yes, and hopefully would have a small playground for the hundreds (thousands?) of kids living there.

    That second one is awesome, with Beacon Hill in the mid-ground.

    Jefferson Park Housing Redevelopment | Cambridge

    I grew up in the southeast corner of Jefferson Park from 1954 thru 1966. This replacement project for me is a bit like seeing someone you love passing away. The new complex does appear denser than the old "projects". I was fortunate to have lived there at the time. We had playgrounds right...

    Roads and Highways General Development Thread

    Excellent point about the questionable need for the proposed bus lanes. I would eliminate them, and shift the general traffic lanes to the west side of the roadway, thus opening up space along the east side of the corridor for a much wider greenway,, like an extension of the RKG. After all...

    Roads and Highways General Development Thread

    In addition to the I-93/I-95 Woburn interchange, MassDOT and/or Boston are famous for proposing road and pedestrian projects that somehow fall off the radar and never happen. Ones that come to mind include:: Route 1 realignment/reconfiguration from Squire Road in Revere to the junction with...

    Looks like that was the inspiration for this one in the Cambridge Crossing development:

    Copley Square Revamp | Back Bay

    Everything has to look like an antiseptic lab these days, including this public space AND condos.

    Copley Square Revamp | Back Bay

    Establishing more permeable surfaces in urban locations, as well as the need to reduce urban heat islands were, I thought, goals that would be promoted by a city. Apparently not in this project where, as you say, the war on green spaces has prevailed.

    Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

    I totally agree. I hope they never happen. This is an iconic location, and Boston has lately had a couple of really bad designs put up at key locations, and cannot afford another.
