I'm your typical eat-lunch-at-my-desk nerd programmer, but the year and half I worked for Wellington at 75 State St. I had lunch at the park 2-3 times a week if the weather allowed it. It really is a great public space, and very lively at lunchtime.

I'd love to see Devonshire pedestrianized or woonerfied from beyond the loading docks all the way to Franklin, and turned into something like what was originally planned for Congress Square. Same for Otis St. Make the whole area a pedestrian-centered space as free of cars as possible.

Agreed. That part of it I get. What I don't get is what they mean by "Launching the Pavilion". I thought they meant starting construction, but in the article it sounds like they're just launching a publicity campaign so people know it's coming.
